"Its higher up in the hills, its far enough from the busy areas so its peacefull, all you hear is the chickens. Mountains look foggy and mysterious. Its a good location to go in walks from, I saw lots of the famous terraced fields. Room was clean and nice, good service and communication from the hosts. 250k VND to go to Sapa town, but the countryside is better than the town"

"This property is a scam. We booked and paid for 3 rooms thru Expedia. When we arrived they only have one room for our reservation. They want to push us to stay at their other property. Their other property is dirty and small. We flew thousands of miles to experience a homestay in the beautiful Sapa rice fields. Being weekend all the nice home stays were all booked. We had to hire a taxi to take back into town to find a decent hotel. I have never give any hotel a bad review. I don’t want anyone...

Sapa Clay House - Mountain Retreat

"The most wonderful experience staying at Sapa Clay House..is truly is a mountain retreat. After a busy few days we enjoyed the kindness of everyone in this family run retreat. They were so attentive and helpful and spoke English very well. The views from our room were incredible and everything from the bed linen to bathroom amenities are luxurious. Then there is the food made with love from their garden and local goods. The pool was wonderful to cool off after an enjoyable walk to the local village. I’m so glad we stayed just outside of Sapa town. You must stay here for such an amazing stay"

Chapa Farmstay - Mountain Retreat

"Chapa Farmstay is a unique experience. It's about 20 minutes from Sapa town proper which is great. Very quiet and pristine. The little cabins are comfortable, with incredible views and the bathrooms are modern. But the best part of our stay was the host family. We had such a great time chatting with the grandparents during meals, sitting around the fire on cold early mornings and playing with the children. They arranged for our one day trek with a fun lunch in village along the way - ending with a traditional Red Hmong herbal hot tub experience. Our last evening they invited us to join their family dinner and drink rice wine. They also linked us with a local taxi driver who ferried us in and out of town as needed. Staying with the family at Chapa Farmstay was the highlight of our 3 week vietnam trip!! We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have added 2 more. "
