Hotel is gorgeous! Located centrally to all dining/shopping in Ostuni. A quick 20 min drive to stunning beach/coves and beach clubs where you can safely go swimming. Breakfast was excellent and hotel staff very attentive.

We stayed at La Sommita after our wedding in Ostuni, and from the moment we were picked up and brought to the hotel, everything was exceptional. The staff are wonderfully friendly, courteous, and professional, they truly make this hotel stand out. We were delighted to be upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely stunning. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset spritz. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering plenty of variety and fresh options. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ostuni. It captures the authentic charm of Puglia, has the intimacy of a boutique hotel, and feels absolutely perfect.

This hotel was a truly 5 Star Hotel. We stayed in a suite and it was really cool and big. The Hotel offered a shuttle service that helped get to a train station and even took us to the restaurants. The staff was amazing ready to help in any way and to make sure that our stay was unforgettable. Would definitely stay again. Great location in a beautiful Ostuni.

Disappointed with the stay

Our room was very loud (number 15), so if you get given that room change immediately as you will not get much sleep in there are people in the restaurant. The pool was quite dirty, the amenities were old fashioned, no coffee machine in the room which I would expect at a 5 star hotel. The service was good at breakfast and the breakfast was nice. Overall I would not stay again as I don’t think it’s worth the money at all.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The photos don’t do the property justice. The staff was absolutely amazing. My daughter and I stayed here in May 2024. We arrived in the early evening after driving all day. We didn’t want to have a real dinner so after talking to a manager, Salvatore, he arranged to have the chef prepare us “something” to enjoy on one of their terraces to enjoy the sunset! It couldn’t have been more perfect! Everyone was wonderful, the servers, the front desk employees, their drivers. We decided upon arrival that we didn’t want to move our car from the parking lot to visit Lecce the following day so the hotel arranged a driver for us. It was perfect! The room was beautiful, large and had a steam shower with a waterfall! We highly recommend this hotel!!

These are meant as constructive criticism. Finding a meeting spot when first arrived in Ostuni turned into an hour ordeal as Waze kept re-routing us. Street names sometimes posted so difficult to find. Guests should park somewhere in Ostuni and call the hotel and let them come to where you are located. Ostuni is a relatively small, charming town. The staff projected our needs and fulfilled them as well accommodating everything we asked without hesitation. Thank you La Sommita staff. If you can't walk up hills, then be aware that La Sommita is at the top of the highest hill in Ostuni behind the main Church. We found the walk relatively easy and especially after going to dinner in the main Piazza an enjoyable walk. We are a relatively older couple. We enjoyed the terrace, pool, and all the amenities.
