"The Gite served as a base for our exploration of the Arras region. The village is lovely with a lot of history - please try the fare at the local bakery. The Gite itself is small with 3 bedrooms but with potential to sleep 6. Having this number stay would perhaps be problematic with regard to the sitting room which, although comfortable, is small (but more than adequate for our stay). "Stayed here while visiting Canadian National Vimy Memorial and other Canadian WWI sites, and the location was absolutely ideal. The staff were incredibly helpful, the hotel was very clean, and dinner was excellent. Having Louvre-Lens just across the street was an added bonus. There was also ample free parking, which made exploring the area by car very easy. The continental breakfast was decent, though my expectations may have been a little too high after such a fantastic meal the night before."

"The building is impressive, our room was large and clean. There were nice touches such as slippers, bath robes and toiletries. The lounge areas were deserted on the first day of our stay , giving the whole place the ambiance of a museum. The following day saw an influx of guests and the life of the place lifted considerably. There are cards and board games available but you needed to ask as nothing is offered. Breakfast was confusing, there was a standard and uninspiring continental breakfast but we were not told that there were hot food options on request. The opening times for the restaurants are rather limited with only the distillery restaurant available during our stay. The food at the restaurant was good but the menu was the same for lunch as well as dinner. We had been looking forward to walking around the garden which looks impressive in the hotel details. Unfortunately the garden and the tennis courts were, as a earlier review mentioned , rather tired and unmaintained. We cut our stay short."
