"My family stayed here to visit Kuon-ji Temple. I was initially concerned that the *shojin ryori* (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) served for dinner might not suit the younger family members in terms of taste or portion size; however, the meal was nothing like the stereotypical image of such cuisine. Everything was delicious, the variety was impressive, and the portions were actually quite generous—perhaps even a bit too large. My wife and my sons' families felt the same way. The room was clean. As for the bath, the water struggled to stay hot when all four of us men were in it at once, but that just became another memorable part of the trip. We also enjoyed a fire works Hanabi with my family at after dinner . The breakfast we had after our early morning temple visit was also excellent. We would certainly stay here again when we visit the temple in the future."
