Solo female travelers BEWARE!!! I’m a 48 year old woman and I naively thought sexual harassment/assault was pretty much a thing of the past for me. I thought the husband (Mario, a much older man) of the nice lady (Pina) who was running the place while their daughter was out of town was being friendly when he offered me a jar of homemade blackberry jam. I was wrong. Under the guise of wanting me to get my phone for translation he followed me into my room where he put his arm around me and tried to kiss me more than once. I awkwardly used the translator app to explain I wasn’t interested and the phone as a physical buffer, though he had his arm tightly wrapped around my side/back during the entire exchange. I was afraid that if I flat out fought my way out of the situation it would have escalated in a way I couldn’t control and he finally accepted my proposal to be friends. Yeah, I lied to get away. I was afraid. As soon as he left I threw all my belongings in my bag and when the coast was clear I left. No checking out early, just left with the key in the door. I’ll mention here that my room was number 2 and just outside the main house as a separate room w/bathroom.. This was my first trip (perhaps last) to Italy and I’m sad it will forever be tainted by my stay at this place.

cosy and reasonable price for a local life house

very nice and cozy family house, and sweet breakfast, 2.5 € per person, reasonable price. Close to natural and fresh air. good place to get downtown to the very local life. better drive there otherwise difficult to travel. i drove, so it was pretty nice. The kind lady also gave me a bottle of her homemade blueberry jam, i love it so much !

Best B&B in Orte!

One of the best B&B experiences I ever had. The owners (Mario & Pina) were great hosts and took care of me when I checked in late, drove me to my Spartan Race to avoid the traffic/parking, mini tour of Orte after the race, and a peaceful relaxing espresso outside to chat about life. There are so much more, but the main thing is I really felt at home and it was thanks to the incredible hospitality of Mario and Pina.

Lovely hosts

Lovely hosts; pleasant atmosphere; sitting area outside room; rooms separate from house; country environment about 3 kilometers from Orte; Watch roadside signs for directions - otherwise a little hard to find; Wifi worked well; All-in-all; a very nice stay.
