  • Discover the beauty of Pushaw Lake at our stunning waterfront property in Orono, Maine. Close to the University of Maine Black Bears as well as Bangor with all the exciting activities, restaurants and entertainment it has to offer. Our lake house has 4 bedrooms providing plenty of sleeping space and 2 full bathrooms making cleaning off after a day of exploring a breeze. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower. The lake house is the last property on a dead-end road with a large lawn to play yard games, 2 beaches, a massive 32 foot dock to swim and fish from and several trees that cast a comfortable shade on a hot summer day. The space feels tranquil and soothing, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

    1. Your check-in instructions will be sent to you 24 hours before your scheduled check-in time. We kindly request that you refrain from visiting the property before your designated check-in time. Our team needs this time to prepare the accommodation for your arrival.

    3.) Our standard check in time is at 4PM.

    4. Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in our rental and please make sure not to tamper with the smoke alarms.

    6. Please keep noise levels reasonable, and refrain from having parties, loud music, or any disruptive activities. Quiet hours start at 10 pm and quiet hours simply mean being mindful of anyone next door.

    7. The number of overnight guests should not exceed the registered number or the maximum number of guests allowed.

    8. Check-out is at 11 AM unless you`ve made other arrangements with us.

    If you encounter any issues following these rules, please let us know immediately. We`re happy to address any concerns you may have. If you`re unable to abide by these rules, we`ll offer you a full refund for your booking within 24 hours of booking. Thank you for your understanding.

Great property with amazing lake views. Close to Orono and Old Town. The stairs to the second floor are pretty steep if anyone in the group is older or has trouble with stairs.

This is a wonderful place which we really enjoyed, but a couple things are not in the listing but should be:1. The water is not drinkable and no bottle water will be supplied. You need to bring enough bottled water to last your entire stay. The water has a distinct odor and metallic/sulphur taste probably because it is drawn directly from the lake or a spring nearby and not filtered or treated. However, it's OK for showering and doing dishes.2. There are a lot of biting insects, probably due to the property being right next to a marsh which provides a breeding ground. You will need bug spray. Of course the amount of insects will vary with the time of year, i.e. only in warmer months.Beyond the above two items, this is a fabulous location and well-presented home. Although the bedrooms sizes are cozy, there are outstanding views from 3 of the bedrooms.There is an amazing variety of wildlife, especially birds. We counted: grey heron, owl, woodpeckers, red-winged blackbirds, loons, ducks, Canadian geese, robins, and two tree swallows nesting in the bird box. There were also snakes, turtles and we suspect a couple of otters or beavers in the marsh we heard splashing but never saw.Sunsets were all spectacular and there are kayaks and canoes available to use.
