Cozy Country Cabin quiet country retreat

13 miles to Paoli peaks SKI resort
Situated inbetween Louisville Kentucky and French lick Indiana
The cabin is private overlooking a shared half acre pond
NO PET POLICY
Beside a 30 acre woods with road access on one side. The cabin has a gravel drive and one step up onto the porches. We can set up the ramp for wheelchair access.
The quarter-mile, woodswalk is a work in progress. Fishing in the pond is catch and eat or catch and release – no take-home.
The cabin has heating and air-conditioning, electric, a wood-burning fireplace, hot and cold water, a heated tile bathroom floor. Gas and charcoal grills bring your own charcoal.
There is a new patio with a fire ring if you want to do a hot dog roast.
Canoe + PFD along with paddles available.
Refrigerator, counter top oven, 2 burner hot plate and microwave coffee maker

“Major“ is our German Shepard who was born December 2020 moves around the property at will and loves swimming in the pond. He greets our guests and expects to make new friends. Though his time is spent mostly at our house - not at the cabin.
We have most all the pots and pans and utensils for cooking and preparing foods.

Cozy country cabin stay

City get away

Cabin was as advertised and amazing! Very peaceful place to spend a night or weekend. Great fishing right out the back door. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a quite peaceful weekend!!

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was very cozy overlooking the pond. Major is a very loving playful dog. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would return for another stay ourselves

Our stay was fabulous! Such a great piece of property and our host was awesome! The cabin is amazing. Looks brand new. We're going to try and stay there again next year. The only thing is we wish we would have got to meet his dog. He/she came over for a visit but before I could get to the door and open it, he/she was already gone. Can't really say enough good things about this cabin. Thank you! Rich and Wendy

So relaxing and cute

It was our second time at the cozy cabin. We love it there. The cabin is so cute and since we love to fish, the pond is our recreation. Highly recommend it if you want a quiet getaway to unplug from tv and WiFi for a bit.

Gorgeous property!

Peaceful, serene, just a beautiful location. We loved spending our anniversary at this quaint property. Caught several fish, enjoyed the woodburning fireplace and all the beautiful surroundings. What a bonus to find the homemade sweet treats ❤️. We will be back!

Awesome cabin!

The cabin is very clean and cozy . The wood interior is beautiful. The host have thought of everything for your needs or wants! Very peaceful and quite. A nice place! We will definitely rent again!

Beautiful and quiet

This is such a great getaway location. Its quiet, cozy, and beautiful. The owners are very nice and helpful and brought us extra wood for the firepit. The pond still has fish in it, we caught a few bass and didnt even spend much time fishing. Can't wait to come back.

So peaceful!

We had the best time here. The cabin is adorable and we absolutely loved the pond! The sunrise and sunset views were spectacular and being able to fish at any time was the best. We relaxed in the rocking chairs and even lit a fire one night and roasted marshmalllows. It is truly a little slice of heaven.

This cabin was so very well maintained and very safe for my daughter and I to travel and stay in for adventures in the area (Marengo Cave, French Lick, West Baden, Hoosier National Forest). The hosts even left goodies for us to eat. We both want to go back in the summer or fall to make use of the pond and canoes!!

It was everything we wanted in a cozy cabin. Very clean and tidy. The baked treats was a nice surprise, very delicious! Major, the property guard, was very friendly. We enjoyed his company while fishing in the pond. We will be back!

The homemade treats that awaited us was very welcoming. as well as the friendly owner's dog. Feeding the fish in the pond was special too. There's nothing better than sitting by the fire pit on a quiet evening in the country. Owners were available if needed but left us alone. Cabin was well stocked and felt very homey and comfortable.

Exactly what we needed!

We came out here to decompress after a difficult year. The cottage was absolutely perfect. So serene, so peaceful. As soon as we arrived I said “Oh man I wish we were staying for a week.” It’s the perfect place to unplug and just find some peace. The cottage was clean, well stocked for any cooking needs, and the baked goods left for us were OUTSTANDING! We will absolutely be back, next time for longer than two nights!

The cabin was very private off a quiet road nestled back in between some tall trees and bushes. The kitchen was beautiful nicely set up cedar wood cabin inside fresh flowers, and homemade goodies left for us. Very nice very clean a lot of extras stuff in refrigerator some fresh eggs, things in the cabinet if we needed that we might’ve forgotten if we wanted to cook that , we could use. Things left to let you know what was in the area for you to look at so you could visit ,very peaceful pond right up against the cabin and you could almost fish from the deck. It was beautiful and a beautiful time of the year. we will definitely be back.🤗

Cabin is solid and beautiful, maintained perfectly, quality finishes and amenities. Property is spacious and beautifully landscaped. Private views and you feel secure and isolated from the rest of the world. Fish jumping in the pond, hummingbirds on the porch - oh, and there is a full length, covered porch on both the front and the back of the house. Just lovely. Bathroom, shower, etc., top notch, kitchen is very nice and definitely more than adequate. You feel at home, relaxed and comfortable from the time you pull up to the cabin. You can believe what you see in the photos - it is all of that and more. We met one of the owners, Vivian, who is a lovely person. She was kind enough to leave us "welcome" molasses cookies as well as milk and homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast - all delicious. We could only stay for one night, but wish we could have stayed much longer. 5 out of 5, would give higher if allowed.

The owners were absolutely amazing. Every object in that house was so thoughtful and planned. I felt so at home. My only regret was not staying longer. They even made handmade cinnamon rolls and bread. It was amazing!!!
