Downtown Cottage
Stay like a local in a 560 SF detached guesthouse (located in my backyard) in vibrant Colonialtown. Steps from The Plaza Live, Leu Gardens, Mills 50, Milk District, and Leu Gardens, with trendy eateries nearby. ~10 min to Florida Hospital, ~30 min to theme parks.
A budget-friendly option featuring a red brick kitchen, stand-up shower, washer/dryer, and urban vibe (some city noise). The cottage is darker, great for sleeping in. Cozy for 4, sleeps up to 6.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. This gem of a guest house is in a perfect location in the Mills50 area of downtown Orlando. A perfectly cozy little home with comfortable beds and a welcoming environment. We look forward to staying again next time we are in Orlando!
This place has a great location! Close to downtown but very quiet and private. Garren was very accommodating to our late night check in and was responsive. The place was very unique with the design and colorful! We had everything we need. Clean and beds are comfortable.
Garren’s place had everything we needed: Privacy, plenty of space & being centrally located. My friend and I stayed here for a concert on Mills. We walked to the show, got some food & hit up a couple of bars- all in the same neighborhood. In the morning we went to Bakery 1908, only a 5 min walk from our door.
I really appreciated the open kitchen & living room area as well. Felt like a lot of space for the price.
Overall we loved staying at Garren’s and can’t wait to come back for the next show we see in the area 😜
The property was exactly what we expected for our short adventure to Orlando, the experience was great overall, The property owner was very informative and allowed us to check-in a day late after our flight got mixed up, although we didn't receive a refund for the first night due to the late notice. Definitely a hidden gem amongst the city, would definitely recommend! It was very unique!
The house was very nice, cozy and welcoming, if a bit dim, and in a quiet neighborhood near plenty of good restaurants and cafes. Garren was a great host and very responsive. He was able to come and replace a few light bulbs promptly when I noticed they were out, and provided some laundry detergent so I could make use of the washer/drier. Great for the price, would stay again.
The property host was easy to get a hold of and addressed issues quickly.
There wasn’t a coffee pot in the cottage when we arrived, so I alerted the host and he provided a new one that evening.
When I alerted him that the A/C wasn’t working he did refund for the last two nights. He was apologetic and tried to have it fixed immediately, however he was not able to. Not for lack of effort. The only downsides were, the backyard property and yard surrounding the cottage needed to be cleaned up. Blinds need replacing and some outlets were not working, towel rack in bathroom broken, toilet not secure, floor mat in bathroom needs replacing. Place needs some TLC. Lastly parking is on a first come first serve basis. Guest will need to park out in street if someone is parked in the driveway. This can be somewhat difficult for someone who has difficulty walking any distances.
The property was not clean at all when we checked in. There were spider webs in the shower, for example. Also, not withstanding, we cleaned as best we could and stayed anyway. When we wanted to extend one more night, it took most of the day to hear back from the owner and he wanted another cleaning fee "LOL". He needs to find other people to clean his unit or at least inspect it before people come to check in. Stay here as a last resort!
