"The Lodge is quite lovely and perfectly situated in the beautiful village of Broadway, but our room was not properly readied for our arrival. The hotel is ‘unmanned’ which makes it tricky for quick resolution of issues. Our suite had been painted that day and smelled of fresh paint and the painter left a can of paint and a pizza box on the counter. The kitchen garbage had not been emptied. The wifi did not work upon arrival. Upon reporting the paint can /pizza box and wifi issues an apology was issued and housekeeping was to be alerted. I was asked to reset the router on the landing myself, which didn’t bother me. Returning from dinner two hours later the paint and pizza box and remained. I expressed my disappointment in the lack of action and have not heard a word since then. If you are looking for a hotel with service, skip the Lodge. It’s more like an Airbnb. The property and suite were fine, but the lack of guest care is a big flag. I rarely write poor reviews but the property was given a chance to fix the issues and chose not to."

"Reception was more than helpful when i showed up with my two small children after long drive. Food was lovely, atmosphere quaint, stay again in a heartbeat!"

"There was a mix-up with our arrival time, so the room had not been serviced when we arrived, but Lou had the cleaners in for a couple of hours shortly after. The amenities and the area are outstanding. Right in the middle of town with lots of great shops and restaurants. There was supposed to be a guest instruction book for restaurants, places to go, and some operating instructions -- but it had nothing in it. It was really an issue when we tried to do a quick wash with no instructions anywhere and only code letters on the dials. We eventually got it to wash, but could never get our wet clothes dried. Otherwise, a superb place."

"Apartments were okay but booking through Hotels.com was a disaster. I booked using Tesco vouchers but the vouchers didn't go through at my first attempt. I then cancelled and rebooked immediately checking with George apartments that this was okay. They said it was but both payments were processed by Hotels.com. I have paid twice for the stay very expensive! "

"Very old building, yet very charming. Many small sitting areas to read and to relax and they are really very cute. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very helpful. A great experience for me. "

"Lovely cottage which is absolutely fine for 2 ( in 2nd bedroom bed is against wall on one side so a little limiting). We enjoyed our stay - well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge. Bed reasonable and most of the time hubby remembered to duck for the low door! Lovely outside and very secure for dogs ( walls or high fence). Has been changed a bit since photos but could see 2 good sitting areas that would be sun traps, had weather been better would have happily tried them out! A couple of minor issues but we left a note so hopefully they will be rectified ( not urgent enough to contact while there). Very handy for the town centre and all the shops etc. Quiet road despite being on edge of a residential area. Parking was OK - good to have ability to unload/ load at cottage. Car park quiet later in day when returning - aware not there in peak period - and able to pay for long periods so if you not using car for the day no need to keep topping up."

"What an amazing hotel. A beautiful conversion of an old doctors surgery in the heart of Broadway. The attention to detail in the hotel public areas is matched in the room with everything thought through from coffee machine to the luxury shower and bath. Couple this with the amazing Moda restaurant and the super attentive team and you get an amazing experience. Would highly recommend. "

"The cottage was stunning and everything we expected. Perfect location for nearby villages and the scenery from the cottage was beautiful as we had baby lambs which made it more special. The only one thing I would add although we were aware before our stay is the double bedrooms maybe would be more accommodating if one of the rooms had 2 single beds but apart from that I hope to definitely stay here again and will be promoting this property very strongly.Ali"
