「Great, quaint cabin, that is well maintained and tastefully appointed. Setting on the covered porch looking out over the trees and pasture made me feel like I was 1000 miles from anywhere. The hobby farm next door was really cool. There were all kinds of animals on the property, many roaming free. I even saw a skulk of foxes as I pulled into the property. A quick 8 minute drive and you were in Carbondale. Very cool.」

「I would give 6 stars if I could! Kevin was an absolutely delightful and very communicative host - he responded to questions very quickly and reached out to make sure we were doing well. The property is awesome - fantastic hot tub and pool, and the RV is very new, had plenty of space, and included amenities like soap, towels etc. Would love to visit again sometime.」

「I really enjoyed my stay. I came to spend some time with my daughter who goes to SIU. It was nice, quiet, and had the great charm. It is a cabin so it is rustic but that was the charm of the cabin. The bed was great, we were able to cook and relax like the comforts of home. The wifi had an issue and needed to be reset and the host was very prompt on fixing the issue. He was available! I will definitely stay here again when I visit my daughter!」

「We came down to visit friends and the cabins were great to come back to each night . The cabins are close to town but far enough away . I enjoyed a peaceful sit on the deck and a nice walk . The management responds quickly to any question and it was really easy to check in and out. I will say if you are shorter person like myself bring a stool the bed is kinda high.」

「The home is an older home which appears to have been built in stages. The floors are quite creaky and the age shows throughout. The worst issue for us was the noise of the street out front. We had expected less traffic in such a small town, although the owner made no such claim. The beds were excellent and there was plenty of hot water. The furniture is in good shape. In view of the price we felt it was a good value.」

「If you are looking for a beautiful cabin that is tucked away from the center of town but a quick drive to the action, look no further! I stayed here with my mom, aunt, and my 1.5 year old daughter and we had the best time! The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. The cabin is well-equipped so you have everything you need to relax and unwind. There is also an adorable farm next to the property. We would absolutely return here!」

「Had my parents in town for the weekend and needed a place that would take their bigger dog. The cabin was exactly as described! Cute little place with comfortable beds and the location was convenient. I had some trouble getting in at first (user error) but I called the host and he quickly walked me through it. 「We ladies had a great couple of days in wine country. It was so nice for all four of us to have our own bed. The house is roomy and was very clean with all the amenities needed. We would recommend it! Be aware, it is closer to the road than we expected, but there was no traffic noise. Also, there are no shades on the main floor windows. Nice location. Close to the wine trail and Carbondale, even a Dollar General. Great stay!」

「I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was at Oak Manor. We stayed here for our daughter’s law school graduation and we had 15 family and friends join us. The house was exceptional. So clean and comfortable. We cooked all of our meals together and grilled out on the terrace.
