Horrible
Was unable to check in due to there being a cash only deposit that was not shown on the hotels .com website. I was traveling alone and did not feel safe trying to navigate an unfamiliar city alone at night with all of my belongings and was refused a refund.

Close to freeway, which was a plus. Room was musty and air conditioner was very noisey. Fridge leaked, almost slipped. I had to leave a $100 cash deposit, which wasn't stated on web site. Very thin blanket on bed. Was suppose to be a 4 star but I thougt it was more like a 2 star hotel.

We want our guests to enjoy their stay and find our AC and heat amenities to be clean and in perfect working condition. Our ultimate goal is for our guests to be comfortable both in the summertime, and in the winter. Our maintenance staff has a regular schedule dedicated to checking the working order of appliances, the state of the furniture in the rooms, and bathroom fixtures. I am sorry that we failed to do this during your most recent stay. I am especially upset to hear that the situation was not addressed right away.

I travel to this area often and will definitely put this hotel into my rotation. Great location, close to freeways and central to Orange County. The room was surprisingly large and very clean. This is a great value for the area.

the room smelled like mold very strong. hotel had cocaroached. we did not stay! Horrible place.. giving hotels.com a really bad reputation. I expected better quality of hotels offered by hotels.com.

Manager of this property Dany want to kick my family because we had complained about cleaning the room. My son was surgery and needed to clean the room everyday and he didn't notice to my problem and he bordered me. Your company didn't notice to my problem. I never used your app for reservation for anything Because your company doesn't responsible to your customers.

Less than I expected
Rooms are dark and pretty barren, not like a lot of the photos on this app. Its definitely not worth almost 120/night - I'd expect better soundproofing, better cleaning (we found hair on the bedsheets for example) and a working tv remote (ours didnt turn the tv on or change volume)

Booked & Paid in advance because I knew I would arrive very late in the night. Came in at 12:00am to a huge oily sticky substance on the floor, which I almost slipped on. Lifting and popping floorboards a broken hair dryer. First and Last time I would go there. Plus I asked for a print of my invoice for work. They couldn’t even do that, said because I booked with a third party. (Expedia)

Nope No no no! Ghettolicious! Hard to find! Howard Johnson hell. Dirty towels. If you're poor clean it bed linens seemed ok but have flea bites. Last resort Motel 6 better. Family owned struggling so they had to cut corners, it is what it is. Just Pray for our people & this country!

Disappointed
Pics on website make the property more upkept and aesthetically pleasing. Was highly disappointed to see the property in person. Plus the property is located behind a gas station (that is the entry way). Rooms are supposed to be smoke free, but don’t think they fully enforce that rule, as our room reeked of cigarettes.

I booked this hotel because it had a pool and breakfast was included. The pool was out of service and there was no breakfast. I was very disappointed to find out last minute.

Swimming pool was not available, amenities promised breakfast and there was none, WiFi was terrible! Bath towels were small and thin, little tiny pillows. No room service one of the days of our 4 day stay. We will never use Howard Johnson hotels ever again.

The location is great. The property is clean and the customer service was decent. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked, but their beds are TERRIBLE!!!!! Mattresses need to be upgraded! I will not be returning.

This place was terrible. The towels was dirty and they didn't have any shampoos or body wash.

I'm sorry to hear that your most recent stay with us did not meet your expectations of quality service, accommodations and hospitality.
