We booked this condo knowing it was outdated based on the listing photos, but it appeared to be clean. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.The condo had a strong old, musty smell as soon as we walked in. The furniture, especially the couch, was old, dingy, torn in multiple places, and felt dirty. Throughout the unit, we found hairs stuck to the bathroom doors, metal throughout the condo was rusted, dirt and grime on the baseboards, dust covering furniture, dried boogers on the master bedroom wall, and even a toenail in one of the skillets.We had planned to cook several meals during our stay, but after seeing the condition of the kitchen, we immediately changed those plans. The dishwasher had standing water in the bottom and smelled so sour that I literally gagged after opening it for only a few seconds.The sliding glass door would not close. We found a wooden plank by the door and was able to wedge it in place to keep the door partially shut, which was both concerning, inconvenient and allowed hot air inside.We understand that not every condo is newly renovated, and we don’t mind older accommodations. However, there is a big difference between “outdated” and “unclean.” With a thorough deep cleaning, replacement of worn furniture, and a few necessary repairs, this condo could be much more enjoyable. As it stands, we were very disappointed and would not stay here again.
