"Absolutely beautiful, grand hotel with excellent staff. I booked a compact double room and we had a spacious, clean family room, with comfortable beds. However, the bathroom was long and slim. We had to side step to get past the bath to the toilet, and when sat on the toilet your knees touch the bath. We also used the

facilities which were a nice addition. However, we had to wait at the reception desk for over 10 mins for a member of staff to show up. There were only communal changing...

. Food at barneys brasserie was good. Service was poor and staff attitude was awful. We were made to feel really uncomfortable. Room was basic and a little dated. The was a large stain on the mattress protector. We were provided with the wrong room on arrival. Air con was very loud. We couldn’t open the window as there was a loud fan/bleeping noise. Room was very stuffy. We did not sleep well.

"Beautiful and spacious room with lovely colours, stylish paintings and peacocks view. One of the best spas I've been to with outdoor heated pool and gorgeous cafe. Elegant restaurant, luxurious staircase with paintings, grand exterior of the building and lovely landscapes."
