Fantastic. Wonderful resort property overlooking a bay. Peaceful, serene and scenic. The hotel will pick you up at the Toba train station and drop you off. For our purposes, it worked better when we rented a car for 24 hours so we could explore the Ise-Shima National Park and go do an Ama Hut about 30 minutes away. Pick ups and drop offs arranged ahead of time with the front desk.
The best part of the hotel was the Onsen. When we were there, it wasn't crowded at all and the outdoor Onsen overlooks the bay. Large hot baths and a small cold plunge that wasn't too cold. It was just right for a quick cooling plunge. A couple of outdoor chairs to sit and dry off.
The only thing to plan for is there is not a konbini close by so a car would come in handy. For late dinners, the train station is a 15 minute walk away. We found a sushi kaiten open til 10pm right by the station.
Highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Toba
