Inviting Waterfront Cottage on Cedar Creek

  • Come unwind in this comfy cottage right on the water. Situated on a 2 acre wooded lot, this colonial home offers peaceful seclusion and unbelievable water views from every room. This 1930’s cottage has modern updates and plenty of room, with two large bedrooms downstairs and a delightful bedroom suite upstairs. Restaurants and shopping await in the historic town of Onancock, only a 5-minute drive or boat ride away. Private dock for swimming and fishing, two kayaks available for guest use.

    The Property: Home is situated right on the water. The front living room has 180 degree views and floor to ceiling windows that bring the water right to you.

    Outdoor space has a fire pit with comfy seating around it, dock with a large sundeck for lounging and fishing. You are welcome to crab and fish off the dock. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets are also provided.

    Boats at the house: You are welcome to tie up boats at the house dock during your stay. The dock is suitable for boats up to about 20' in length and the MLW is 3'. Guests must use their own judgement and assume all risk from mooring boats to the dock.

    Boat trailers: Guests can park boat trailers at the Onancock Wharf or for free at a town lot right next to the wharf. The house's driveway is narrow and curvy and is not suitable for boat trailers.

    Additional Notes: The location is rural and waterfront so please bring sunscreen and bug spray. As a security measure, the house has a motion sensor camera at the front door.

    Pets allowed with a pet fee. Please add your pets to the reservation if bringing them.

    Liability Waiver: You understand that swimming and the use of the dock and kayaks is at your own risk. No diving off the dock is allowed and all persons using the kayaks must wear life jackets. You accept full responsibility for any accidents and bodily injury arising from swimming and use of the dock and kayaks you may incur.
