Casa Azahar, a traditional Andalusian house in the beautiful white village of Olvera.
On the first floor, the San Juan entrance (double doors), typical of Andalusia, leads to three bright, interconnected rooms. The first room has a small desk; next is a small living room with a desk, a sofa bed, and a library (I provide guests with numerous books in French, Spanish, and Italian); and finally, the kitchen, which leads to the staircase going up to the terrace.
The kitchen is fully equipped for everyday use, with a refrigerator, oven, kettle, and plenty of kitchen utensils (I live here part of the year, so nothing is missing). The space is practical, tidy, and designed for a peaceful and relaxed lifestyle.
Three steps lead to the small patio and, to the right, to the bathroom with a walk-in shower. From there, you can access the terrace and the laundry room.
On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms, each with a 140-cm bed, a closet, and a dresser. The attic bedroom has a ceiling fan, and the house also has two standing fans.
The bathroom, which has a window, is modern and clean and features a walk-in shower, a sink, and an electric towel rack. You’ll find shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer.
The entire indoor and outdoor space is at your disposal. The terrace (located at the back of the property and without a view of the countryside) has a built-in bench and a small table for enjoying coffee. The washing machine is located in the laundry room at the back of the terrace, and clotheslines are available.
Please note that some areas have fairly low ceilings and doorways.
Heating and cooling are provided by electric radiators, electric fans, and a ceiling fan on the upper floor. For winter stays, there is also a gas stove.
The house is well-maintained and tastefully decorated, as I live there part of the year. It’s perfect for exploring Olvera on foot and visiting the nearby white villages and towns in the region.
