"As most of the positive reviews here already mention, the staff at this location is extremely kind, always professional, and thoughtful in a genuine manner. I want to single out Christina for being especially wonderful. She has that something extra which makes you want to be a loyal customer. The manager has put together an amazing crew and really knows how to create a team atmosphere. Everyone who works at the reception area was exemplary in their performance. Very grateful for how I was treated during my week-long stay. The housekeeping staff was also quite fantastic. The room was immaculate upon entry and stayed that way over the course of seven nights. Also, the high quality of the mattress gave me some of my best sleep in months. At the end of my stay, I proposed to the mattress but was told that it wasn't ready for that sort of commitment yet. Sigh!"

"The room was very clean, with fresh sheets and bedding, spotless floors, appliances, and bathroom. Parking was convenient, and the area felt safe. There were extra plugs available, but as soon as I tried to use them, they shorted out, making it difficult to plug in multiple devices at once. Using my laptop, tablet, or the provided space heater often meant having to unplug the fridge and microwave. Aside from this issue, the room was clean and well maintained. "

"This unit should not be on the rental market at all. We have stayed in many converted basement units in the Silver Spring area, and all the others have complied with local building codes by having fire egress windows in the bedrooms. This unit's bedroom is entirely underground and has no windows at all, much less anything providing fire egress. No building permit could possibly have been issued for a project so far out of compliance with local fire safety regulations, so I'm sure this is not the only substandard thing about it.On top of that, the only heating came from space heaters that had to be plugged into power strips. This is not a safe unit for anyone to occupy; we stayed there the night we arrived since we were too tired from flying all day to figure anything else out, but we realized how unsafe it was and moved out the next day.There were numerous other smaller issues: a bed hemmed in by walls on three sides, so that if there are two people sleeping there, one of them has to crawl in and out over the other; no bedroom furniture other than one very small and very flimsy nightstand, so clothes that don't go on hangers can only be either in your suitcase or on the floor; almost no sound insulation between this unit and the main house so that conversations and TV sound were clearly audible. At the price, we expected "basic" rather than "fancy" accommodations, but this place does not meet minimal standards for safety and we would never book it again."
