If you can drag yourself away from the private beach (that requires a short walk from the “Lookout”) you will not have trouble staying busy. Located on the east side of the island, the Lookout is conveniently 15 minutes away from Moran and Obstruction Pass State Park. Moran State park offers miles of hiking trails, two different lakes that are swimmable/fishable during appropriate seasons as well as boats/lake toys that can be rented. Obstruction Pass state park offers quiet trails with breathtaking views and beaches. During your stay make sure to set aside time to walk or take a short drive to one of the island must stops in Doe Bay Resort. Doe Bay Resort offers soaking tubs, dining options, small groceries, beer/wine as well as more stunning water views. Other notable close by attractions/dining options include Buck bay Shellfish Farm and Lascaux Café.
Located on the east side of the island and approximately a 45 minute drive from the ferry landing, we suggest stopping in Eastsound to pick up groceries before arriving at the “Lookout”. Island Market is the place to go and conveniently and directly on the way! If you prefer to skip this step, let us know and we can happily pre-stock your fridge/pantry prior to your arrival. If you are interested in skipping the ferry and drive all together there are options! Working closely with Island Express Charters out of Skyline Marina in Anacortes, take a smaller, direct boat ride to the private beach that the “Lookout” has access to. From there we will help you with your bags up to the property where your adventure continues! Highly recommend this experience!
