Valet was useless. Front desk not accommodating. Clean room and hotel.

Everything was great! Our room was basic and not anything fancy, but it was more importantly clean and comfortable. The bed was firm, but weirdly not uncomfortable. The elevators were small and old, but it’s NYC and the building is old. However, it seems to be maintained well. The check-in was easy. All the staff was incredibly helpful and answered our questions more than sufficiently! It is a fabulous place to use as a hub location, as it’s in the center of everything, but not to close the chaos of Times Square. We will definitely stay there again! My only suggestion, or hope, is for the Hotel to consider having a locked area for luggage, if they are going to provide services for customers to hold luggage either before check-in or after checkout. Although everything was safe and our bags were missing nothing, it’s just a sense of security for the customer to know the baggage is safe and they are able to explore the city knowing that everything is secure and without needing to lug things around with them.

The location was still good for a Saturday stay with a lower rate b/c subway stations are close by as is Pier 11 to get over to DUMBO quickly. The neighborhood wasn’t a ghost-town even a good bit after midnight. Room was clean and nice.

Hotel hits all the 5 star spots apart from 2 points. 1 - the rooms are not soundproof at all, and being able to hear the conversations in the room next door so clear that i could repeat what they were saying is not what i would expect. Second - the front desk staff are not as polished and committed to the level of service i would expect from a top end 5 star hotel. Doormen were top class. All in all it's a good hotel, but with so much choice in NY, i have stayed in better.

Great place to stay as you are within a short walk to everything!!! Will 100% return and stay again.
