I had to endure a challenge as I rushed to the bathroom when I checked in only to find in horror there is no soup in the bathroom. Similarly, there was no courtesy water, tea, or coffee. When I asked about those missing items they said it is not considered an amenity. I have been in like-apartments and it is a standard. So the explanation was worse than the offense. "Really nice old village house which included an old olive oil press. Situated in old village centre away from the road. Fully equiped kitchen and had all modern ammenities including fridge, jacuzzi and great A/C."

"This is definite faded grandeur. The ground floor looks and feels beautiful but the rest of the hotel is tatty - not helped by a lack of cleaning In some of the common parts. Staff were slightly taciturn, but we went out of season and they might have been busy doing other things. The location though is fantastic and, crucially, there is a good breakfast! This hotel could be so much better with some love. As it is, it is over priced."
