"No problems with check in or room.it is a bit deceiving the name ..."in the historical district" --- that description makes it sound like it is within walking distance of Old St Augustine/fort/George st.. it's not walking distance for the average person... especially in older people. "

"No elevators and we had rooms on the second floor---and we are in our 70s! Railroad tracks are right behind the property and they are very active through out the night. We were charged an additional $15 a night at check in because we didn't book direct thru them. We did not expect that. The walk into town was supposed to be a short one---was not very short. Encountered homeless people camping in the bushes by the hotel. Took taxis after that. The hot tub water looked like pea soup. Rooms were very dated. Beds were fine. There is a shuttle right next door that takes you to the trolley tour. Very nice and convenient "

"The room I stayed in was “no Pets” room. It looked recently remodeled. Upon entry had a clean fresh smell. "

"Check in was so fast and professional. She was very polite and efficient and also suggested the trolley ride. "

"This is pretty far walking distance to get to everything as far as the shops and places to eat. The people at the desk don’t really speak English, so it’s hard to communicate with them when you check in for out and we went and bought a set of sheets for the bed because there was like pizza or something spilled all over the comforter. I didn’t feel like it was super clean in there, but it wasn’t completely disgusting other than that bedding, I would not stay again."

"Was it a water beetle or a roach, not sure but it was big and it came out of the sheets when i stripped the bed. I would not stay there again. Aside from that the staff were friendly."

"The hotel was great.i liked it. But the shower stalls were dangerous. It was very slippery. They need to put shower mats in them to keep from slipping."
