The home was very comfortable and accommodated nine of us and allowed us to easily get read for a wedding at the same time with the five bathrooms. You could find a quiet space if you needed it. Laurie the owner and the host was wonderful.

We just got back from staying at Bellavista for a week, and be "we", I mean a very large family including infants, toddlers, kids, teenagers, uncles, aunts, and even grandma. In fact, we probably were slightly above the stated capacity of the house, but our hostess Laurie was very communicative and responsive. It was easy to work out with her ahead of time that the property could accommodate us. We had an absolute blast at this property. The pool / patio / screened in porch area is an ideal hang out for groups of just about any size, and we spent a lot of time there. But there is just so much to do at this house. Even on a rainy August day, we were easily able to fill the day with activities that kept the kids entertained and kept everybody having fun all day long: there was a ping pong tournament in the barn, a movie screening in the downstairs theatre, a talent show in the huge living room, the whole-house game of sardines, family board game in the rec room... We have so many memories already from this one week at Bellavista (glow-in-the-dark capture the flag gets a special shout out) that everybody is asking when we can go back. Highly recommend this house to a large group or family with a LOT of different ages and interests.

Vacation with friends

The house was very clean and well stocked. There were so many fun things to do - swimming pool, ping pong, darts, air hockey, gym, pinball, basketball hoop, foosball, etc. it was a great house for 4 families. The owner was very communicative and responded quickly to questions about the neighborhood, it was also very well located. Highly recommend!

Amazing Weekend Getaway

We had an incredible stay at this property! The house was just as described—clean, spacious, and extremely well kept. It easily accommodated our group of 11 adults without ever feeling crowded. Every room was thoughtfully prepared, and all the amenities were in great condition.What really made our stay exceptional was the host. Communication was prompt, clear, and genuinely welcoming from the very beginning. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and helped us arrange for a private chef for Saturday night. Was a very comfortable and memorable stay. Laurie even brought us a basketball after discovering one on site was deflated - just excellent service. Highly recommend!

Good family time

This large home has many comfortable bedrooms, some very large suites. The kitchen is very well stocked. Our family had a wonderful stay. The pool was great, and a center of our enjoyment. Kids also enjoyed the game room.

Nice property but not recommended due to the host

Stayed here with a large group of adults and kids for 2 nights in June. The property was large, clean & comfortable & we especially liked the outside area & screened-in porch. Note: 1) the pool is unheated so chilly in the AM, 2) only 1 bathroom is unconnected to a bedroom & 3) two games in the game room require 50 cents per play. Would not recommend staying here due to the high-maintenance host. She requires a 25 minute check-in tour to go over lots of little rules & property quirks. She also required our cell number and interrupted our already brief stay with nags and even tried to add an extra cleaning chore via text only the night before. There was zero flexibility about the 10am checkout while also demanding the property be left in "same or better condition", so we all woke up 7am to tidy up as much as possible, despite the deposit including sizable cleaning fees. Property also has an onerous garbage requirement (rather than being able to leave bags in a shed or garage connected to the house, bags must all be driven to the end of the long driveway on checkout day and if they don't all fit in the bins, extra fees are incurred). Do yourself a favor & book your gathering at a property with a host who actually wants guests to relax and enjoy themselves!

Great weekend away with extended family

Laurie's property was absolutely perfect for our large group of 6 families, including 11 little kids. The playroom upstairs and downstairs are great, as is the outdoor playground, barn and pool. The bedroom layout is a little quirky but easy to manage. Kitchen is incredibly well stocked and easy to cook in. Laurie is very easy and quick to communicate with and helped to answer any questions we had about our trip. Would highly recommend for large groups!

Lovely Home & Great for a Group

We loved our stay over Memorial Day weekend. We were three families and fit well in the home with 6 adults, 8 teens and 1 child. Kids loved the pool (it's on the cool side with no heater). The landscaping on the property is so gorgeous. The home itself is very comfortable with many places to spend time together - our favorite is the screened in porch. The two master suites is neat with each having two bedroom spaces per suite. It would be great with a family who wants to have young children close by at night. Good hiking nearby. Great access to the Berkshires.

Thanksgiving weekend 2023

We had 4 families and grandparents all stay together for an unforgettable weekend at Bellavista. The house had enough space for us to hang out together playing charades in the great room, ping pong tournaments in the finished attic playroom, and making holiday ornaments at the large dining room table. There were also spaces to have quiet moments when you needed it...and we even enjoyed a beautiful hike at a nearby conservation area that Laurie recommended. The house was extremely clean, fully functioning, and well appointed with everything we needed...including making dinner on multiple nights for our large party. The process for booking the house was more than I had ever experienced with rentals at VRBO (listing names and ages of all overnight guests for an insurance policy), but don't be scared off. Laurie is a great host who is very clear at communicating. One thing to note that wasn't in the VRBO posting, but Laurie did communicate before we arrived was the two arcade games require .50 cents to play. The money is donated to a good cause.

Wedding weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at Bellavista estate! The house is very comfortable and well stocked. Laurie does a good job tailoring the set up to your needs. My kids had a blast exploring the huge yard and loved the playground and playroom. It’s very close to amazing restaurants and multiple town main streets. We also had a rehearsal brunch in the barn which was beautiful! It was a pleasure to work with everyone to create a special day. I highly recommend the property for large groups!

Chatham Estate

This house had the most fully stocked kitchen of any house I have rented for any of my summer family reunions in the past . You can cook or bake and everything you will need is there. The pool was a real plus and enjoyed by everyone as my grandchildren were ages 9-22 years. I loved the living room with no giant screen TV so we could read and relax. Plenty of TVs in the rest of the house.

Beautiful home, lots of spaces!

This house was absolutely beautiful and perfectly reflected the listing. All of the bedrooms were quite large and comfortable, easily fitting our three families. The pool was amazing, but we equally loved the different spaces for the kids to play- rec room, arcade, barn, basketball, large yard, etc. Kitchen was stocked very well with dishes/pots/pans/seasonings, plus had plenty of empty cabinets for our groceries. Laurie was extremely helpful and easily reachable. The only down side to the house was that there is only a charcoal grill, no gas/propane- not a deal breaker but less than ideal in such a large house with great amenities (we did ask prior to our visit so we were prepared, and it was not a surprise). Overall one of the best houses we’ve rented over the years!

60th birthday with girlfriends

We had a wonderful 60th celebration with 11 lifelong friends. Our barn party was really fun. The house was enormous and plenty of places to sleep chat and laugh. Laurie was very sweet and helpful all the way up to the weekend with calling and communicating. She followed up with wanting to return items a few of us left. The weather was rainy but didn’t stop the fun or the pool time. I would recommend this place for any family or friend event. Can’t even imagine how fun weddings would be here. Thank you.

Problems with Hist

Property was nice. However, dealing with the host was a nightmare. I had to contact VRBO several times. Problems: my check in time when I booked stayed 3 pm. Host made us do a walk thru at 3:30 with check in time 4:30. I repeatedly asked (many many months earlier) for an early check in. She wouldn’t tell me yes or no until the week of the stay- she could have told me no earlier. Secondly, she told me there would be a Gardner on-site on Saturday (full day of our stay). I asked her to push the Gardner until Sunday as that’s the day we leave. She ignored my request. After calling VRBO, she wrote me an email saying she thought my daughter was being married at the house- COMPLETE LIE as I had to sign an agreement stating only people on the rental agreement could be in the house. She is a horrible host and I don’t know why VRBO would want to work with a host like that. My daughter was getting married this past weekend and these issues needlessly stressed me out!

A beautiful oasis

We were blessed to stay for four days, and the home had so many wonderful amenities for multiple ages. The gorgeous property, prime location, swimming pool.... it was all fantastic! Thank you!

Fantastic spot for a group outing

We had a wonderful visit to Bellavista Country Estate. The host Laurie was very communicative throughout the process and coordinated an incredible local caterer for our entire stay. The check-in process was very smooth and the home was in great condition. The location is scenic and private and the property is stocked with all the amenities you could ask for. We would definitely return for another visit. Highly recommended!
