The property had both free and paid parking which was a bit odd. As we had larger vehicles we felt it safer to park in the paid parking lot rather than on the spots directly off the street which we may have stuck out of a little ($5 a night). Chikugo River Lift Bridge is just one of the places to see in Okawa, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? Discover the area's waterfalls and temples.
You can spend an afternoon exploring the galleries in Koga Masao Memorial Hall in Okawa. Amble around the area's marina or visit its temples.
I happened to go when the 70th Woodwork Festival was being held and that was super cool to attend. It was a bit far from Fukuoka City (1.5hrs) but honestly I think it made the trip better because I was able to see the local culture, arts, and food.
