Amazing and quaint hotel. The bar and pool were amazing. Very comfy beds and loved that we could rent bikes. Will definitely be coming back here.

This place must have been charming, in its hay day. But. Not now. It needs a lot of TLC. Our room (#15) was dark, dark, dark. One of my pet peeves when I travel is there's never enough light. Well, this place was the worst! Two little lamps in the kitchenette, positioned such that they were useless. If you wanted to cook anything, there wasn't any way to be sure that you cleaned it all, because the lightbulb behind you created a shadow over the kitchen sink. And, the owners are chintzy... two small glasses, two giant mugs, 2 dishes, 2 forks...you get the picture. NO coffee pot. Just instant coffee packets for sale. Two small lamps on either side of the bed with 15W bulbs in it. The bathroom had such poor lighting. Taking a shower, in the dark, is no fun....and there's no fan in the bathroom. If you'd like to have high humidity create soggy towels, a mirror that can't be used, residual moisture everywhere....well then, this is the place for you! No electrical outlets (another pet peeve), except on one side of the bed. In order to plug in your phone to charge it on the side of the bed that did NOT have an electrical outlet...it had to be done using the plug at the opposite side of the room. Beneath the table provided as a desk. We had to crawl under the table each time we wanted to plug in/unplug the phone. And only one plug as the other was being used for the TV. And don't get me started on the heat (as in non existent).

Good place to stay for a few nights. Comfortable bed. Decent size pool, high ceilings in the room, pool side bar with a fire pit outside, bike/ walk path just outside the property. There is not enough light in the room, the heater did not work, no phone in the room to call the office, which opens at 8 am, so, no coffee until 8, no coffee maker in the room. The room had a hot tub , which I did not use, but the people next door did at 6 am, which could be heard in my room as well as their conversations. The place is close to the main street so you can hear the cars in am. Overall a decent 3.5 star experience.

This is our second time staying at Ojai Rancho Inn, I’d definitely recommend staying again and plan on returning in the future. The rooms are cozy with a vintage charm, the updated bedside sconces and remodeled bathrooms keep from making the room feel outdated. The rooms are outfitted with great snack and drink options. Plus a complimentary Palo Santo stick to burn during your stay. My two pain points with the room: the overhead lighting was a bit harsh and without additional lamps or a dimmable option it detracted from the cozy feel of the room, and the bed was a bit stiff. I woke up with some hip pain. A highlight of the trip was a visit to Chiefs Peak, the hotel bar, the bartender was friendly and provided excellent service. The front desk staff was mostly friendly, the morning coffee was service is such a nice touch, one person was less than accommodating when asking for additional towels. Small things make a bigs difference!

cozy but limited

Very clean, cute rustic room with very comfy bed, pillows, bedding. Disliked the floor, hard on feet,uneven stone surface with a couple sharp edges, wore flip flops most of the time.Nice jacuzzi tub. Smallest bathroom mirror ever, however, with minimal lighting so going out for our evenings I couldn't see much! Sweet pool area with hammocks & bocci, nice bar adjacent. Limited privacy, parked cars facing bed through window a couple feet away!

Serene and Welcoming Place to Stay

We were recommended this inn by some Ojai local friends. It was artistic, serene and tranquil and the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The grounds are immaculate, the pool and pool bar are a gem with grass and trees with hammocks next to the poolside and calming music playing. The room was calm, quiet, and clean with attention to every detail. There’s a wonderful walking/biking trail behind the inn that you can take to get into town in 10 minutes walking. We can’t wait to return. Convenient location.

Great location walking distance to downtown and a bike ride away from everything from the connected bike path. Nice pool area and rooms are clean and compact. We loved they each have a front patio. Only downsides I experienced were loud people noise from the poolside bar on both Thursday and Friday nights. Lesson learned to always travel with earplugs, other than that it was a fun place to stay downtown.

We love this property and the whole vibe. Sitting poolside sipping a drink basking in the sun. We love Chief’s Peak bar for a nightcap, swinging in the hammock under the shade of a tree, delicious coffee in the morning, 10/10 recommend.
