"This hotel is in a very small town and if very comfortable and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and the onsen was excellent. "This is a 400 year old hotel in a very remote area. Bathrooms are at the end of the hall, rooms are simple, and you are a bus ride away from the sites of the area of Towada BUT this is a lovely spot with simple hikes and a regular bus to Towada and the Orirase Gourge. "Breakfast is the same for 3 days we stayed. Dinner is better. Futon too thin, each nite we need to double the futon. Hotel fast response to our request for non smoking rooms, but since all are smoking rooms, they deodorized our rooms, and no smoking smell when we arrived.
