"What an awesome stay! Kids are 5 and 3 and they absolutely loved staying up in the lofted beds. The space is small but very functional and looks great. Beds are comfy. We enjoyed the fire pit and eating dinner on the patio. Host was very responsive and accommodating and gave some great recommendations. A really cool experience and we would definitely stay again. Thanks!!"

We hiked, kayaked, hot tubbed and enjoyed the fire pit at night over looking the water. So peaceful and we will definitely be back!"

"My boyfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway with our two German Shepherds. We found this beautiful log home!! It was beautifully decorated and it has an amazing dog friendly yard! Our puppies were free to play in the yard and explore while being completely secure. We would highly recommend and would love to stay again! The owner was very easy to contact and communicate with. 10/10 for sure! Very convenient to a lot of trails/forest for hiking if the heat cooperates!"

"The property was very nice and peacful. If you are looking to get away from the everyday rush in this world, this would be the right spot. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. There was an incident that was out of everyones control, but the property owners handled it well. Nick and Erika were wonderful hosts. They even brought us some bread pudding from a restaurant they had visited (they did invite us to come along but my hubby and I were pooped). It was a vacation we will not forget....

"The bed was not made the mattress cover was more then disgusting a blanket as thin as the sheets I had to put on the nasty bed bath tub was dirty toilet dirty full can of trash in the bathroom kitchen counters had stuff smeared all over them floors didn't look like they had been cleaned or swept in a very long time 1/2 roll of tp very disappointed the lake was great very pretty but would not rent one of those places again I took some pic but the bed was nasty!!!!!"

"The view is amazing, but the rest not so much. I would have preferred an additional seat other than the futon, it was very uncomfortable. Although empathized "no smoking", someone had smoked in the trailer and there was even an ashtray on a table in the living room. I saw roaches and a sock in the living room. I checked out after one night."

"Management was on site and available, very helpful and easy to work with. The cabin was campy, a bit older, but well maintained. Everything appeared clean, linens were spotless, and there were no bugs visible. The cabin is cooled by two window air conditioners one at the front, and one at the back. Thank you for making my escape comfortable."

"This is our 2nd time staying here and loved it! The property is gorgeous and it's nice having the canoes and kayaks to use. The only downside was our poor dog ate a shrimp with a hook on it and it got lodged in his esophagus. We had to take him to UF Emergency Vet Hospital. He stayed 3 days, but is doing well now. We would definitely stay again!"

"This was our third year coming for a 4 night family gathering from different parts of the country. The house suits are needs because you can’t beat the location right on a beautiful clear part of the river with lots of grass for games in the backyard. There are 10 of us with only 2,bathrooms and 3 bedrooms so it’s a bit tight for sleeping and one couple usually ends up sleeping on porch or living room with mattresses but no one complains because we’re on the river 80% of the time. "We’ve been coming to salt spring for about 10 years or more. While the resort is not as nice as it used to be, at no fault of the hosts, our stay at his cottage was the best experience we’ve had. He made we had everything we needed and more and took pride in making our stay enjoyable despite the weather and resort issues not related to his cottage.
