"Me and my family stayed in this cottage for three nights in hallstatt. "The Heritage Hotel is located in the heart of Hallstatt, a city that has lost its soul. Please do not go to this city or this Hotel. The Heritage and its staff, especially the manager, know they have you trapped in a facade of a city. The managers/staff demeanor and service are indicative of someone who has a captured audience. Hallstatt is as authentic as Disney Land and any true traveler would want to escape upon arrival. Parking is nowhere near the hotel (almost a mile) although it appears to have parking in the photographs. If you’re looking for a beautiful Austrian experience leave Hallstatt out of your plans and stay at hundreds beautiful places near by."

"Visit Grundslee and the stay at the Mondi Hotel if you are looking for a quiet, scenic, and romantic getaway. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Susanne at The front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms at the hotel. Get a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the lake. You won’t regret it. Hotel rooms a clean and spacious, even for our party of 4. The breakfast was included and was very, very good. They also have a pretty good restaurant. Again with great views of the lake. On the downside, there isn’t very much for kids to do. There is a very, very small playground close to the lake but that’s about it. You can walk along the lake but the kids are over it in a couple of hours. The grounds could be challenging explore if you have mobility issues. Somewhat hilly. Grounds need a serious landscape redesign. Great for couples but I would spend more than one day with young kids."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Great room with amazing view. (Room 7). Very nice balcony. In the center of the village. Easy walking to everything. I would stay there again. Lovely very small coffee shop and café on ground floor. Great selection of high quality cakes. No TV in room but don't let that put you off. It's a very nice place to stay."

"We had the library suite with fireplace. Too warm for the fireplace but the views out each of the three windows was fantastic! We ordered the in suite breakfast each morning and it was fabulous! Easy communication with our host using WhatsApp. The front door from the 1700's was a bit tricky but it's not every day that one gets to step in through history! We enjoyed our layed back stay along with the gorgeous sights and sounds!"
