We traveled as two couples. The hotel was lovely, situated across from a beautiful loch. The lobby had plenty of places to sit and enjoy a chat and beverage. The bar was nicely stocked and our evening meal was delicious. The chef had only enough scallops for one person and they saved them for my husband! The beds are comfortable and rooms had beverages for us to relax with during our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful location, very friendly staff. The rooms were smaller then expected and not much in terms of amenities. Good for a one night stay, comfortable bed and beautifully decorated.

Our room was beautiful, cozy, clean, and we'll decorated. The staff were so nice and accommodating despite a flight change that left us checking in late and very hungry. They made us sandwiches and we're so kind. The location is wonderful and the property grounds are nice. Excellent breakfast. The continental was very well stocked and the menu items were delicious.

6/10 Okay

Liked: Cleanliness
Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening. Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon). Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.

What a joy it was to stay here. So good, in fact, that I stayed an extra night. The staff are all lovely, the location is beautiful, the house is warm and inviting with log burners, leather sofas and sheepskin rugs in the lounge. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the food excellent (the cooked to order breakfast with kippers and porridge is definitely recommended, but the continental breakfast was also a real treat - those croissants…👌). Faultless. And I’m hard to please.

This is a very nice property outside of Oban. Knipoch House Hotel is situated in a quiet location and offers very good food on-site. We were only there for a short time, on our way to Glasgow, but it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
