This lovely apartment is set in a historic building which boasts a stunning Jacobethan style frontage, built in 1901. Located in Oban’s town centre, it’s the ideal stop to start your adventure in the West Coast of Scotland. This welcoming third floor holiday apartment has been equipped and furnished with care to cater perfectly for the perfect coastal town break. Situated high above George Street, the main street in Oban, you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of town life, whilst blissfully separate in your own peaceful apartment. Located on the third floor, George Street apartment offers an open-plan living/dining area and a separate kitchen. There are two welcoming bedrooms, a double and a twin, served by a family bathroom which has been recently refurbished and has a large walk-in shower.
A bustling west coast harbour town, Oban has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. There are plenty of outdoor sports to enjoy locally, with a kayaking centre just yards away, which launches into Oban Bay, directly in front of the apartment. In keeping with its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés, and pubs nearby, for relaxing after a pleasant day out exploring all the wonderful scenery and interesting attractions which Argyll has to offer. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, just two miles’ drive along the coastal road. Dunollie, Dunstaffnage and Kilchurn Castles are some of the nearby castles to visit as part of a day’s sightseeing. Further afield but within an hour’s drive, visitors can enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, take a trip to Fort William to see Ben Nevis or take a visit to Inveraray to enjoy the Castle or infamous Jail.
