My stay at Arlo DC was decent overall. The staff were genuinely great, very polite and helpful. The room, however, had visible dust when I first arrived, which made it feel like it hadn’t been checked properly before being offered. For the price of the hotel, I expected better attention to detail. Basic toiletries like a toothbrush and shower cap were also missing, which was surprising for a hotel in this category. I stayed for three nights, and while everything else was fine, the lack of cleanliness on arrival and missing amenities lowered the experience. The staff were excellent, but the room standards need improvement.

Our 1st room had a big ol cockroach in the shower upon arrival. They promptly switched our room and upgraded slightly. The 2nd room was still kind of dirty, you could tell it wasnt swept, bathroom had wrappers. Yhe whole hotel had anstring odor of an old fishy grease trap, which isnprobably from the restaurant but you can smell it through the whole place. Not too pleasant.
The staff was lovely though! Nice location!
