"From the second we arrived, this place was stunning! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beach front bungalow, which was a lovely treat and made our stay even more special. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, so well cared for, clean and full of lovely little touches. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh towels, and bedding changed every few days. Plenty of hot water, a really good shower and drinking water provided in the room every day. The Maasai staff were amazing. Always friendly, welcoming and made us feel safe throughout our stay. The restaurant team and reception staff were also incredibly helpful. The pool is small but clean and peaceful, perfect for a quiet dip. The beach itself isn't really suitable for swimming, but it's stunning at all times of the day. One of our favourite finds was the sandbar about a 15-minute walk to the right along the beach. It was quiet, with only a handful of tourists, and we actually preferred it to Nakupenda! Breakfast was pretty good, with a buffet on most mornings, a decent selection and fresh fruit every day. We ate dinner at the hotel a few times and really enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty, and reasonably priced too. One thing worth knowing is that the hotel doesn't serve alcohol due to religious reasons, but guests are welcome to bring their own for private consumption in their rooms. We'd happily recommend Tanzanite Beach Resort"

"Great hotel. Had all The amenities from an all inclusive . The room was great. All amenities are incredible , the pool and the buffet were great. I preferred the buffet over the signature restaurants. The beach access was great and the beach in front of the hotel is amazing,."

"The rooms and the grounds are sooo nice and well maintained and cutie. As far as nungwi goes you can get slightly better locations. The food at the restaurant there is SO overpriced for how basic it is. They should change their menu/prices, multiple other guests had that complaint as well. The prices the owner has for excursions are super overpriced so ask anybody else when you’re there for a better deal to do things. The WiFi goes out a lot on the north side of the island and often times when I would get back to the hotel there would be no WiFi or electricity or water. There was no hot water here twice. I woke up one morning with no charge on my phone cause no electricity throughout the night."

"Couldn’t recommend this hotel more! We had an amazing stay at Maisha, the staff were an absolute highlight for us and really made the trip special. A huge shout out to Edward who was always a friendly face with warm conversation and made the best drinks at the bar, he really made our trip memorable! We loved the beach bar and the food and drinks were great. I highly recommend using the TukTuk service to visit local Nungwi & Kendwa beaches, it costs a couple of dollars and is very worth it. The drivers are great and can pick you up whenever needed. The staff are really helpful if you have any questions or need any recommendations on what to do on the island. We loved the couples massage and recommend doing this whilst at the hotel. The hotel is steps away from the Mnarani turtle conservation pond which was a highlight for us, and focuses on turtle welfare and rehabilitation vs a tourist trap."

"Property grounds were nice. Rooms are a bit dated. The TV and telephone in our room did not work. Manager at reception was very accommodating and made our stay much better. The massages were excellent. Highly recommend them.! Wifi is awful! Love the balconies! The other downside is the beach, the beach is beautiful but you have to pay 25$ for 2 chairs and umbrella every day if you want to be on the beach. Otherwise they do have beach chairs on man made beach near infinity pool. Just depends on your preference! Food is ok. Nothing to rave about but something for everyone!"
