"While reading the comments prior to the stay someone had mentioned “it was like putting makeup on a pig” and that stuck with me. At first glance the rooms look clean and well kept, but then when you start looking closer you can tell it was a rushed and cheap renovation. The building itself is in need of major repairs, the pool lining was coming up from the bottom, the vent above the pool was about to fall down, their were water damaged tiles in the breakfast area, the pictures appear grand, but it really is quite a let down. We asked for garbage and towel exchange on our 2nd day and we upset to come back from a day at the beach to find garbage and towels untouched. When informing the front desk staff she argued with my husband that it was “done” when it very clearly wasn’t. Our body wash was empty on arrival and never filled, the pop machine was out of order, we were given hand towels for pool towels, the pull out bed was horrific, the shower head barely functioned, I mean the list goes on and on. Would definitely go back to the Indiana Dunes/New Buffalo, but never stay at this hotel again. And let’s just say it wasn’t cheap. But to each their own."

"Staff was all super nice and great to deal with. Rooms were nice. The bathrooms definitely need updating. The tub was stained and the curtain rod was broken. Overall good place for the money but definitely need to do something about the bathrooms."

"I recently stayed at Spark by Hilton and overall had a very good experience. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. The room was clean, cozy, and I had no issues getting good rest. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The staff was very nice, helpful, attentive to detail, and always respectful of our needs. They were professional, accommodating, and never bothered us unnecessarily, which I really appreciated. The only thing I didn’t fully understand or care for was having to pay a deposit each day when rechecking in. That part was a little inconvenient and confusing. Other than that, my experience was positive, and I would gladly stay here again in the future."
