Great, quiet studio, but near enough to all. Loved the backyard w trees for view. Wonderful to have starter food and especially coffee. Had tv issue and fixed asap, Wendy just awesome host.
This was our first stay at a VRBO. It was such a wonderful experience that we are probably spoiled! Great communication between us and Wendy, the hostess. We knew exactly what to expect. Very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend
This property is close to family and the area i prefer. Its peaceful and homey in this studio. Pleasant communication and up next the trees. Love trees!
The Heartland VRBO studio was WONDERFUL. Wendy and Drew had added every touch possible to make our stay perfect. From the delicious and beautiful Anniversary cake, to the snacks and the well stocked kitchen frig and pantry, everything you could need was there. The linens were luxurious and plentiful. The bed and bedding so comfortable and the decor ideal for this North Pole location. An additional happy surprise, was laundry units right in the appartment. They also graciously accepted delivery for a couple of packages we needed, via UPS and brought to the apartment. Their location, in a lovely wooded area, just added to the great experience. Heartland is definitely the place to stay in the North Pole and Fairbanks area.
Stayed at the studio on a work trip. Beautiful, peaceful location outside of town. Studio is extremely clean and outfitted with everything you could possibly need. The host even left snacks, drink options, and other staples for use. And the bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaint is that there is another rental unit above the studio which I did not see mentioned in the details (I could have missed it). It was quite noisy when they would go up and down the stairs and when they moved about upstairs. Other than that, this is my second favorite short term rental in the area (and I have stayed at a lot for work)! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Only giving 5 stars because 6 isnt an option!
First of all, I booked this because every review i saw of this property praised the host's communication and thoughtful touches. It was actually better than advertised. Wendy's communication was top notch, from start to finish. All questions were answered promptly and fully. Directions to the property were thorough, and everything was clearly labelled upon arrival. Everything we might have needed was readily available, from laundry soap to herbs and spices.
The space was very clean and well appointed, with thoughtful extras throughout, including a snack tray which was welcome after a long day of travel. I lost track of how many times we just shook our heads in wonder at how thoughful everything was. An informational binder was waiting for us, with food and entertainment suggestions which we definitely took advantage of.
If you are staying in the North Pole / Fairbanks area, dont think twice, just book this unit. You wont regret it. In fact, even if you are staying in Anchorage, just book this anyways, its just a 12-hour train ride away. I dont know that we will ever be back to Alaska, but if we ever are, this will be our first choice. We were blown away.
Thank you Wendy!

The location is great - situated fairly centrally (easy drive) to several popular sites for viewing the northern lights. Chena Lake rec area is nearby for hiking, kayaking, running cycling, and is beautiful. Wendy has furnished the studio with nearly any appliance you could need, staples like spices and condiments to make shopping and cooking easy, and very comfy bedding and furniture. It is by far my best vrbo/B&B experience. Wendy is very communicative and helpful, too - - I think she could teach how to do this right :).
Excellent accommodations.
Excellent communication.
Excellent amenities.
Excellent location.
Excellent hosts.
First time in Fairbanks. After our stay at the Heartland studio, know where we'll be for our second.
Loved this studio apartment. Wendy and Drew, our hosts, were amazing. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Studio came with all the necessities and more. We were greeted with flowers and snack platter for our anniversary. Everything was perfect!
Studio as advertised. Wendy was an awesome hostess. Plenty of breakfast food, snacks plus pasta and soup in cupboard. Spotless. Close to dogsledding, snowmobiling, museums, Large Animal Research Station.
Wendy even texted me so we would know when Northern lights were visible!
Great place to stay, highly recommend.
Heatland studio was amazing. The unit was prepared and well stocked for our group. Just pack your bags. Wendy has the coffee and tea mixes available. A welcoming basket was wonderful. We saw the northern lights for first time on the north side of the house.

So sorry we forgot to leave a review for our visit! We had a wonderful time, didn’t get to see the Aurora due to the dates we went but Wendy let us know when the moose were out. We had truck issues and she made sure we had food to eat in our apartment when we returned after being stuck all night till help came. Wonderful, wonderful time and can’t wait to go back when the Northern lights are out again so we can see them! Thanks again to Wendy and her husband for offering to come get us when we broke down. Great host and a great place to stay.
One of the best VRBO. We were super pleased with everything. Wish we could have stayed longer. Location was great for our outing and easy to get into town. Everything from parking, the space itself, the comfortable bed, and all the amenities in the studio made it a perfect place. Wendy was fabulous, above and beyond. Felt like visiting family but still on our own vacation. The small details and her special touches made it wonderful, making memories for other fabulous. Alaska is beautiful and also their home. Wishing the Brant’s much success in sharing their home with others.

Excellent little place, very quiet and out of the way, and had a very "homey" feeling, and the managers were very attentive. I would definitely stay here again.
The studio was absolutely immaculate and spacious. The kitchen and fridge were stocked with some basics that really saved our butts when we arrived in the middle of the night! The property was perfect for aurora viewing while still being close to town. Wendy is worth her weight in gold. She was so attentive and kind for our entire stay: alerting us to aurora and moose sightings (and even giving us great local restaurant advice). I feel lucky to have found such a wonderful place to stay, it really exceeded all my expectations. I know where I'm staying the next time I'm in Fairbanks!
