"The place was nice. Lots of pools and hot tubs. The heated pool could have been set to a slightly warmer temperature, but we still had fun. The staff was helpful and most of them were friendly. My biggest complaint was the inconvenient parking area across the street and the loading zone at the hotel was not an easy drive through like most resorts I’ve stayed at. The town of North Myrtle is nice and well kept. The beaches were very clean at Avista. "

"Checked in. 1 hour later pool of water at our door on 2nd floor. Staff remediated quickly. Pool was clean. Foot washer at beach was broken - fixed within 12 hours - well done. Toilet ran - flopper was broken in the tank. Coffee machine in lobby was malfunctioning. Not fixed in the time we were there. No balcony despite being advertised - if you call a 16 inch wide balcony a "balcony"."
