Nancy’s Touch, A Waterfront Paradise!

Nancy’s Touch, named after the amazing woman who developed and maintained the beautiful gardens, is situated in one of the best locations available on the northern end of the Chesapeake. From sunrise to sunset, the view of the juncture of the three rivers (the North East, Susquehanna, and Elk) that merge to create the Chesapeake Bay commands your attention. Soaring osprey, bald eagles, great blue heron and other waterfowl delight as well.

This one-acre property has been in the same family since the 1920’s, and we look forward to now sharing it with others. The one-story home features:
• large “river room” with an amazing view, sitting and informal dining area
• great room featuring a large congenial living space with TV
• formal dining area
• fully equipped kitchen
• laundry room with washer, dryer and pantry located off the kitchen
• large master bedroom with a queen size bed
• two additional bedrooms; one with a queen and one with twin beds
• all bedrooms have water views
• two baths
• game room complete with a pinball machine, foosball table, and baseball game
• outdoor deck, patio seating, and covered deck near waterfront
• lush lawn and garden areas directly accessible from the river room
• well behaved, mature dogs allowed for a nightly fee (Absolute limit is two dogs, and a full description will be required prior to approval); a large, fully fenced yard is available to them directly from the laundry room
• two single kayaks, two stand up paddle boards and life preservers
• recommend bringing water shoes, as the beach is rocky
• main entrance of home is wheelchair accessible; remainder of home is not ADA

Excellent stay

This was our 2nd stay at Nancy's Touch and it was perfect. Although the weather wasn't great there are so many things to do at the house and in the area. The house has everything you need and is so comfortable and the views are amazing!! Already looking to book next year!

Family get together at Nancy's Touch

This is the third time our family has stayed at Nancy's touch & as usual is was a great trip. We did a lot of relaxing, playing games, & kayaking. We love the house, property, & view. We also visited the town of North East a few times.

Nancy’s touch cottage was amazing!

The cottage is beautiful, full of unique charm and character. It is clean, welcoming and very comfortable. The waterfront setting is amazing. You wouldn’t want to leave!

This was the second time that we had a family vacation at Nancy’s Touch. We really like the house and location. The view is great. It's a great place to relax & watch the wildlife(ospreys, Bald eagles, herons, etc) and do some paddling.

Fun with long term friends

We have a lovely stay at the very last week of October. The home was very comfortable and was spectacularly located on the water in a beautiful area. Top notch hosts!

Chesapeake Gem

We spent 10 days here, and it was a relaxing and restful vacation. We visited nearby towns but also were happy to just stay and enjoy sitting by the bay or watching from the river room. The weather was not great - dreary and no sunsets - but we still had a good time! The house had everything we needed and just felt like home. Would definitely return and hope for sunshine!

Another lovely stay

Nancy’s Touch is our home away from home when traveling to the area to visit with family. Everything you could need to enjoy some downtime admiring the water views and basking in the nature that surrounds this lovely home. The owners are wonderful and quickly responsive to any questions/needs that may arise. Would highly recommend!!

Relaxing getaway

August Getaway

We had another wonderful stay during our third visit to this lovely property. We took our teenage niece and nephew this time, and had fun playing games, paddle boarding and crabbing. As always, the dogs loved swimming every day and playing in their own private, fenced yard. We completed our visit with a takeout seafood dinner from Woody’s. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

Gorgeous Property

This is the Place to Stay

Nancy’s Touch is the best accommodation in Cecil County. We have stayed at many other places over the years and nothing compares to this one. The home and garden are gorgeous, the area is so private and serene with amazing water views. This house and property is like a home away from home. Everything you could possibly need is provided. My husband and I stay four times a year and love it more with each visit.

Return Trip

Nancy's Touch was just as wonderful on this trip as it has been in the past. The perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends. It could not have been better - and we were so pleased to find that the access to the water had been renovated.

Weekend getaway

The house is as exactly as seen in the pictures. Right on the water with beautiful views and even late in the fall the gardens were awesome. The house had everything we needed to have a family get together and we’re able to have my 90 year old parents come and enjoy it as well. The fenced yard for the dogs to play in was a very nice treat.

College Drop Off

My family of 4 plus my sister and brother in law made this our home base for UD drop off, coming from IL. It was the most perfect place to relax and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay. So spacious and had everything we could possibly need. North East is a cute town for shopping and eating. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

Family wedding

We ( 6 adults) came for a wedding nearby and chose Nancy's Touch for our home base. It is a wonderful, serene place with special, thoughtful touches throughout. We especially enjoyed the provided kayaks and paddle boards. Had we been within driving distance we would have also brought our dog- he would have been thrilled with the setting and the private dog park attached to the house. Truly a home away from home and we would love to return to return one day.

A Gem in North East, MD

Just stayed here for an extended birthday weekend with family. Our first trip to this area and already looking forward to returning. What a beautiful property and charming cottage! Betsy was terrific to work with. Right on the water with beautiful sunset views, large fenced area and gated deck for our pups. Well stocked kitchen, and other amenities you’d need. Very close to the town of North East, Charlestown, and hiking at Elk Neck State Park. Quite a few bald eagle sightings!

Beautiful views

Our visit to this home was short. We were only there three nights. We did not cook at all but the kitchen is very well supplied with anything you could possibly need. House is very comfortable and relaxing. There are a lot of antiques setting throughout the house. We had fun playing the pinball machine. The view of the river and bay are beautiful. Fantastic location. Would stay there again.

Family time by the riverside

We had a very pleasant time at "Nancy's Touch." The accommodations were ideal for our gathering of two couples plus a visit from my daughter who lives in DC. We were so glad we could bring our pet Corgi, who enjoyed running around the large fenced-in area. The gardens with rose bushes, fruit trees, hydrangeas and clematis were also special. Our favorite moments included sitting either outside or in the "River Room" to watch the sun set.

Amazing

Everything was wonderful. Betsy and Barb were fantastic. The house and grounds are beautiful, the bay views from every room is wonderful to wake up to.. From the moment we entered the gate, the love and memories could be felt. We made memories of our own and say thank you. Barb thank you so much or all your texts and answers to my many questions.
