"We loved everything about this place! It felt new and fresh. Our room was very spacious with large balcony overlooking the resort and ocean. The staff was amazing as were the facilities. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice. The spa was quite an operation and we enjoyed our daily inclusive treatments. I also did a yoga class by the beach one evening which was lovely but didn't try the other organised wellness activities. Finally, the gym was very good with some machines and a good set of free weights and even a barbell and rack. It's small though so if it's busy it gets cramped. "

"Melia Da Nang was exceptional. Service at the pool bar was a little slow and because the resort wasn't full it lacked some atmosphere. On the plus side, we could always get a sun bed! Location was quite a way out of town (not walkable in the heat) but Grab transport was easy to use, always available and cheap."

"The staff was amazing from check in, to breakfast, dinner, writers bar, gym & spa, room cleaning & turn down service… the hotel is south of the main action, but a quick taxi ride and you’re in the middle. Again, the staff were amazing!!"

"Amazing hotel with great huge sized room and bathrooms! A real luxurious treat for our family. Pool is huge with kayaks, paddle boards, water volleyball and plenty of other games to keep everyone occupied. Location is in the middle of Hoi An and Da Nang so nothing walkable nearby but an easy grab/uber ride to Da Nang centre and restaurants. Staff were great, particularly Binh who manned the pool and made sure we were taken care of. Breakfast is brilliant with so much variety and choice for everyone! "

"Relaxing resort just like the photos. nice swimming pool, private beach, biking, free yoga class is a plus! super nice and helpful staff, they are attentive and checking us on whatsapp to make sure we are good and happy everyday. Breakfast is amazing and I missed the Vietnamese coffee!!! They have free shuttle bus to Hoi An too so we made a visit to the town. Love to go back again soon! "

"It is very sad that I'm having to leave a very poor review for the Hyatt Regency in Da Nang. We stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights, with kids. The following are our main issues with it: 1. Staff Attitude: We were one of the few Indian families on the property that weekend. The staff constantly were particularly rude with us right from checkin. They were impatient, and dismissive of our requests. We arrived at 2:15pm and requested for room availability at 2:45pm because we needed to take an urgent work call. The reception staff flatly refused to give us access to the room before 3pm checkin time. No effort was made to accommodate the request in any way, no checking with housekeeping. Overall, the hotel and the staff have a clear preference on which guests they prefer to serve. During our whole stay, in multiple instances, staff looked completely disinterested to respond to any requests by the poolside, there were no smiles, no greetings, no warmth. This is very different from our previous experiences in other hotels and resorts in Vietnam. We were actually quite shocked! 2. Slow Service: We were left waiting for food and drinks for over an hour each time. We understand that the hotel was quite full, but such slow service despite repeated reminders was really frustrating, especially when we had kids who were really hungry. I would not reccommend this hotel for your next stay! Stay away!"
