"Let’s start with the host, Ana. She was exceptional as a host and her home made fresh bread and goat cheese were a treat! Her rental unit was fantastic, a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath stone house on a hill overlooking a mountain!. The upstairs patio and the 1st floor patio and jacuzzi made our stay that much better! "The host is very attentive and eager for you to enjoy your stay. We liked being in the country. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is very close to a big grocery store. I think this location gives you good access to nearby areas (Serra Mamede for example) well as the points of interest in Portalegre. We really enjoyed the textile museum. Aida provided us with jams, oranges, and croissants for breakfast. It was a nice stay."

Sever Rio Hotel

Sever Rio Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was located right in the centre of a little town and the front desk staff was so helpful. Her English was excellent and she gave us many suggestions of places to eat and even phoned over to a car repair shop for us to fix a tire. The hotel is located along a beautiful channel that you walk along to get to the local restaurants. The room was rather small but suited our needs and was very clean. Breakfast was provided and it had a variety of cold options. The hotel was only 10 km from Marvao and I would highly recommend it if staying in the area."
