"This is a dormitory. It is a very spacious, well-priced, and close to the centre, but has some inconveniences you wouldn't expect if staying in an apartment, as it is advertised. Some of our challenges: the listing shows a washer. But the washer is not in the space, and you have to buy tokens during office hours. We arrived at 5pm Friday and were out of luck. To use the shower you have to sit on the floor. The heat is constantly on, so you have to manage that to get a comfortable temperature."

"The property was clean and tidy. The beds had clean sheets and there were enough towels for everyone in our group. The washrooms were stocked with toilet paper. We had some difficulty operating the shower in the master bedroom (could just be that we were from another country and we have different types of showers). The other shower worked just fine. "There is plenty of space, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, for a family of six to stay here comfortably. But what we found interesting was it was a little sparse on the basics like towels, dishes, cups, etc. The maximum amount of people are six. We were only each given one towel no extra hand towels, no face cloths.Some of the standard table settings there were only six no more so if you wanted to use two glasses at dinner, you had to wash one to use it again. No dual beverages at dinner ha ha...

"I only stayed for two nights, but Castle Troy Hotel & Suites was wonderful from start to finish. I arrived during a very busy wedding weekend, and despite having what looked like a hundred things happening at once, every member of the staff I interacted with was warm, patient, attentive, and genuinely kind. I was in Limerick primarily to attend a concert at Thomond Park and probably asked far more questions than the average guest. Not once did I feel rushed. The staff gave thoughtful advice about transportation, timing, and the local area, and helped make sure I got where I needed to be without stress. One staff member even gave me first-hand advice based on having just seen The Lumineers at Thomond Park earlier in the week, which helped me plan my timing perfectly. Ironically, I booked a suite that was far more accommodation than I needed for such a short stay, but it was comfortable, spotless, and exceptionally well equipped. The entire property felt welcoming and easy to settle into. What I’ll remember most, though, isn’t the room. It’s the people. Every interaction felt personal and genuine, and that level of hospitality is something you don’t forget. If I find myself back in Limerick, I would happily stay here again."

"Location was a tad bit out of the way from some activities, the bus, and train, but what it lacked in location, it made up in amenities. The room is spacious, clean, has air conditioning, and the bed is big. Check out is later than most other hotels and the staff was very helpful in holding our luggage and recommending things to do. Comfortable, relaxing, and would definitely stay here again."

"Our family travelled around Ireland and London for 2 weeks and stayed at 9 different hotels and this was the best hotel we stayed at even though it was the least expensive. The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was very friendly and it was within walking distance of the Bunratty castle and other restaurants. The most pleasant surprise though was the spa with a beautiful pool and saunas along with a great workout facility. If you are planning to stay anywhere near this hotel I would highly recommend it."

"We enjoyed our stay but on reflection I feel that it was mean of them to OFFER an alternative room which had a different bed layout to the one I had booked and access to a room with tea, coffee etc ( which closed at 10pm ??) and then be asked to pay an extra €30. I was contacted after checking out to pay for extras which had been paid for at checkout. The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was good."
