Courteous staff, great location, charming street-facing public rooms. Floors are separated by gender. Room & bathrooms very clean. VERY QUIET!! Everyone respected the no talking rules. It was perfect for a few nights.
The establishment was very clean and quiet during most hours of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here twice and it has been amazing. I love the area and everything is so convenient, walkable, and accessible.
Sleeping pods, bed first night was bad but they let me switch rms. Staff was nice. Common areas were decent, liked that everywhere is basically a quiet area. There is a club nextdoor that goes to 1 am on Saturdays but the hostel does provide earplugs and eye masques. It did kind of smell like sleep, would be better if they had air filters. If you dont want to spend a lot ir just want a place to sleep this is a decent choice, right next to Chinatown and Little Italy...
The rooms themselves are comfortable and common areas are cute and cozy.
However, if you’re at all a light sleeper, good luck. The doors to the rooms slam shut loudly and people come and go at all hours of the night so you hear it constantly. My neighbor also snored and they might as well have been in the same room as me, with how the sound travels.

Liked: Staff & service
It was just a place to sleep. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice.
Great location in trendy neighborhood. Close to trains and south Manhattan activities.
The price is amazing.
Walking distance to great desserts at Little Cupcake Bakery!!
Adorably decorated building. Clean bathrooms, common areas, etc. First time staying at a hostel, so pleasantly surprised. The open ceilings in the cabins were a bit rough as every little sound may keep you up if a sensitive sleeper. Bed was comfortable enough, with the cabin big enough for only one bag with some hooks for other things. Would stay again, especially considering the price.
It smelt like wet dog and BO it was not a great stay if you need storage room great if your planning on sleeping during your stay... I advise go somewhere else
I would have rated my stay as EXCELLENT if it weren't for some `acting out` of staff that I witnessed and overheard although was likely exacerbated by being a VERY busy weekend of guests. I LIKE the Nolita and your rules are considerate of everyone; staff included. If I contributed to the aforementioned, it was only to voice in spirit re: condition the women's restroom was left with toilets unflushed on the very busy checkout of Sunday morning that made some of the spaces unusable. "Pick up after yourselves people; clean up after yourselves...nobody likes a litter bug!" I believe I voiced as positivity overall, but to have said `in spirit` in the moment instead of going to the check-in desk and voicing directly to the staff person, wasn't entirely the clean-line that Nolita aspires to. I am sure that can be a frustration, but within the community of hosteling is usually transcended. Thank you for your kindnesses AND reminder that none of us are perfect. I look forward to a future stay.
