This hotel is close to several train stations so it’s very easy to get anywhere. The room was quite small but worth the price we paid. I would stay here again based on location and value.

No brainer/best in Queens/NYC

This has to be the best deal in all of NYC. This probably wouldn't be the place for first timers to the city but you will not find another place with as much room as the Paper Factory. We absolutely loved it!

A lovely Boutique Hotel and enjoyed my stay. Good amenities within the hotel. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very help. 2-minute walk to the subway and could be in Manhattan/Times Square within 10 minutes. Disappointed that the coffee shop had closed during COVID and not opened again as there were no decent places near by for coffee and a quick snack.

Nice hotel with easy access to subway

Very nice hotel with nice spacious room and comfortable bed. Across the street from 35 St. Subway station (M,R) and about a 8 minute walk from the Dutch Kill (N,W) station. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were not available. Not a lot of dining options nearby but hotel does supply a list of places nearby.

They sold the place. It is not the Collective Paper Factory anymore, so there is false advertising. Nothing in the lobby is open (food, restaurant, coffee, bar) , because they are looking for vendors. The room was not well cleaned ( long hair in corners from a prior guest). The place looks run down. The little staff they have was very friendly and nice, bit there is only so much they can do in a place that needs so much.

Had to ask to clean the room. Had to ask for clean towels or they would let you stay with your towel from the first day. Had to change rooms the first day toilet did not flush. Had a Resturant but was vacated. Look like they are not doing well putting in cost cutting measures. To stay afloat. That was my overall feeling.7

The property looks nothing like the online photos. It has apparently experienced some major changes that have resulted is a less than stellar atmosphere. The staff at the front is nice, but there were repeated failures in service. I was very disappointed in both the service, the room design and the overall atmosphere at the hotel. It’s not very inviting.

Cool hotel that needs a lot of work...

I love the look and feel of the Paper Collective, which is cool and fun. I didn't love that the pillows offer not head support (and when I asked for more pillows, it had to be multiple times), the smallness of the shower that caused flooding all the time, or the rudeness of the front desk staff. I will say the maintenance and housekeeping staff were gems -- friendly, attentive, and overall wonderful. The bar or restaurant was never open, so I can't weigh in on that. The coffeemaker in our room worked occasionally, as did the elevator. Loved the gym, the location, and the aesthetic, but I'm curious as to why I should stay again considering that all the basics -- sleeping accommodations, bathroom, etc. -- aren't really up to par?

the place is clean and convenient but water pressure is terrible i stayed 4 days and not once did housekeeping show up when i asked about getting clean sheets and towels for my room because my wife and kids where coming to stay with me till Christmas eve. the answer i got is that im not on the list to have my room tended to but its on the list for the day after check out.I was fgiven a bag of sheets and towels none of which smelled to clean. like i said NO AMMEMNITIES no bar no restaurant TERRIABLE WATER PRESSURE TO TAKE SHOWER Hot water took forever to get to shower In the front of the room towards the door the heat blows out The windows are so drafty the temp was 20* colder also the elevator jumps up and down over 2" creating a tripping hazard I wont be back

Do not honor VIP upgrades, very rude staff

I’ve stayed here many times in the past, but i will never stay here again after this last stay. The lady at the front desk of the Paper Factory was one the rudest hotel staff member i have encountered and i travel for a living. I don’t know if other hotels.com rewards members deal with this, but sometimes hotels are unaware of the gold VIP upgrades and look at you like you’re crazy when you ask about it. I’ve started emailing hotels or leaving a note ahead of the booking to give them the heads up. And i’m totally aware it’s based on availability, but if i have swayed my decision to book a hotel based on their participation in the Gold rewards program, then i at least inquire. Usually a little digging in their computer / system and they figure it out and all is fine. Many times i haven’t gotten any of the upgrades due to availability and i don’t mind at all, i just ask cos duh. She didn’t listen to anything i had to stay, she talked over me, was very defensive and aggressive, awful communicator, raising her voice, slamming things around…. I was stunned. She wasn’t interested in getting on the same page and treated me like a bum who was trying to get freebies. I was appalled at her lack of awareness, this is a 4 star hotel, it comes with expectations - these places are supposed to feel inviting and make u comfortable, it’s your home for the night, and you’re paying 4 star prices to be there.

The hotel was right by the subway entrance. If you plan on going to Manhattan for the majority of your trips, it's only 20 minutes subway and a 2-5 min walk to the nearest entrance. Room was spacious, but kind of ?? that you could tell the ceiling was sloppily fixed from leakage. Also kind of annoying that they start you off with only two towels and a like 2 bottles of shampoo/etc despite our room having a queen king bed which obviously meant there were at least 4 people staying.... staff acted annoyed that we kept having to ask for more towels. But other than that staff wasn't rude and the place was decent- maybe not as a four star hotel.

Bar und Restaurant waren dauerhaft geschlossen. Das gebuchte Zimmer war beim Check-in nicht verfügbar. Man musste nach einer Nacht wieder umziehen. Kompensation gab es keine. Personal spielte oft am Handy und hätte freundlicher sein können. Hotel bietet keine USB Ports in den Zimmern.

Cool aesthetic. Room was austere and barebones. Our door was found open when we returned from a day out. Cleaning had been in, so I expect they forgot to close it. This is a major safety concern and I'd like a refund for 1 night of the stay.

Property was only on heat and room was almost 80 degrees. front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. Very uncomfortable, we had to leave as we could not tolerate the high temperature of the room
