Exactly what I was looking for when traveling with my 11-year-old. We don't spend much time in our hotel when traveling as we like to be out and exploring. I just needed a clean room with a private bathroom, essentially a safe place to sleep. Bonus was that it was close enough to walk to Broadway shows and Central Park. Would absolutely stay again!

First class choice. I did lots of research over 6 months before the World Cup to decide on this place. The pricing was excellent, even more so with the own bathroom and kitchenette. The location was also perfect in a relatively quiet area bearing it was only a couple of blocks from 9th Avenue with loads of shops and restaurants. Miguel was happy to check me in around 12 30 pm. He would also have helped me carry my luggage to my room if I'd asked. Fully recommend Five544.

Our stay was great. There was plenty of food nearby. It was nice to not have to carry a key card. There isn’t an elevator in the building, so just know that in advance. The staff was helpful and checked in with us. It was also lovely to have a fridge and microwave available to us. My only critique is that there weren’t washcloths or body wash/soap in the shower, so I was glad I brought my own.

Good place to base ourselves, we didn't spend much time in the room. It was a fair size and the kitchenette was useful. A box of tissues and some coffee in the kitchen would have been nice. We were on the top floor which was fine for us but would not be for some. It was very buried in the confirmation - instructions for a check in after 9pm need to be arranged. It actually says check in closes at 9, which should be worded differently.

Enjoyed my stay. Clean room, all fine. My 'even better if' is asking the hotel to see if the very loud buzzer that goes every time anyone enters the building could be quieter. It woke me numerous times early morning and late at night.

This is a great place to stay. It’s a short walk (10-15 minutes) to the pier, Times Square. A bit further to Central Park. Lots of deli’s, food shops and cafes within walking distance.
Cute little kitchenette with pots, pans, fridge, two burner stove top, plates, bowls, drink ware. Which is great if you’re on a spending budget.
View from our room on the 3rd floor.
Comfortable mattresses and pillows.

I stayed here for three nights on a girls trip (just my bff and I) and it was great! the building is next to a major hotel chain so I felt pretty safe, but they also use a keypad/buzzing in to enter. barely any homeless people were around the area and I had no problems walking home at night as a young woman in her 20s. location was about 15-17ish minutes from times square so access to the subway was close and reliable. there were lots of restaurants and sit down bars you could walk to, too. the hotel only had one person working the front desk and I believe he lives on the first floor so he was there most of the time, but stayed in his room. his phone number is on the door though and he’s super responsive + accommodating so there were no issues getting in touch. the hotel will hold your bags after your reservation is up too so that was nice. my hotel room itself was great for the price. it wasn’t exactly spacious (for two people it was fine but any more than that, it will definitely be cramped) and I would say it’s comparable to a premium dorm room. it has a little kitchen with all the necessities (plates, forks, cups, etc.) an OK mattress, and lots of outlets. the bathroom was good as well. (however, they do not label their shampoo and body wash) I will say, if you are coming to New York on a hot day, you have to turn on the AC yourself and wait for the room to cool down (the lowest it goes is 60 degrees) overall, I really enjoyed my stay for the price and would recommend!

The hotel was in a great location close to Broadway and Time Square. The hotel looks like a cute apartment building. The room was a cute simple studio apartment. The staff at desk was very helpful.
