The hotel was in a good local easy access to many local shops, restaurants and public transport. The staff was friendly in the hotel and the price was very affordable for NYC.

Staff was incredibly kind. The room was very clean. Rooms are a little small and the shared bathroom took some getting used to, but a good place to stay for a small trip!

The location and price is superb. That makes up for the rundown location. Friendly hallway cat but may be annoying for those with allergies.

Staff was friendly and room space was okay but bathrooms were not well cleaned or stocked, no soap, locks did not work. Ground was generally gross, not enough blankets, shade did not work, no hand soap in our room. Good enough, but an upgrade is worth it.

Fabulous location near the Highline, Chelsea Market, and so much shopping. Great place to say with a 9-year-old, we kept busy with playgrounds nearby, farmer's markets, and more. Nice that the rooms have little kitchenettes too. Only thing I didn't like was the mattress was very worn and sunk in the middle, so I couldn't sleep well here.

The location was great. The staff were also good. We didn’t interact with them much but they let us check in early, which was nice. The rooms themselves are pretty yucky, no bugs or anything but a cheap room a good place to stay in a pinch if you are concerned with budget.

Can improve , location is great, service was good, but is old, and rooms are super small. I have been in NYC multiple.times and I payed almost the same for better hotels , better conditions.

Acceptable for the price

It is clean and good value enough for the cost. But things could be improved like cleaning the toilet and throwing unwanted toiletries away. Allocating low level for people with big luggages as it has no elevator. Overall it is good enough for solo trips and not if you are traveling with family.

Positives - fabulous location next to subway, Chelsea and the High Line. Good price compared to other options. Negatives - window blinds broken (no improvement in 6 years), tired decor, mattress awful (it was sunken in the middle). Overall, a good option if you're on a budget but it comes with compromises. I wish they'd invest a little in the property and it could be so much better (please change your blinds so light can come into the rooms).
