The lady who checked me in Irina was wonderful! She went out if her way to helpful Maria was great too! I will definitely stay at Chelsea rooms again the next time I am in New York!

Great value for the price, the room was clean, didn’t see a single bug (big seller for me!!), and the staff was helpful and respectful. Great for solo travelers, the room had an air conditioner and provided a wonderful, central rest stop while spending most of the time adventuring around the city.

Close to the penn station and subway. Steps away to the Madison Square Garden. Very convenient location. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room and place clean and well maintained. The outside can be a little sketchy. Some homeless asking you for money or just been there.. but i had no problem with that.

This place is basic but you know that coming in. No tv in the room etc. It was clean, the bed was comfy and not too noisy. The shared bathroom was clean. The staff were really helpful - thank you so much. Will return next time I am in NYC.

This hotel is located in the middle of our NYC trip, only a couple streets from Madison Square Garden, Chelsea Market, Chelsea Piers, 5th Ave, Chinatown, the room is small but that is something to be expected for most places in NYC. It’s close to Amtrak and subway station. The share bathroom and restrooms not bad either. They’re small but clean. For ladies, no hair dryer available so you have to bring your own. No elevator so you will have to carry your suitcase upstairs to check in and to your room. The property is a bit old but it is reasonably clean and for the price and location for short stays I think this hotel is doing just fine. I would not recommend for families with children though. It’s very small for one or two people, just the bed and a couple feet for you to standing and that is pretty much room spaces you will get.

Incredibly convenient location just a short walk from Penn Station. It’s in a very busy area so there is street noise at night but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. Overall a great deal for the location and a great middle ground option between hotels and hostels.

Toilet rooms are tight, if you're taller than 6" (183cm) your knees will be at the door if you're sitting down. Great location though in you need to be in Chelsea.

Nice spot for a quick stay! Bathrooms are located outside of rooms so this can be difficult. Noticed some holes, rips, and stains on the towels.

The property has a good location, close to Penn station, but other than that…dont expect much more, shared showers are ok, but the actual bathroom…barely is space for a person with the door closed…the room dont even have space to open the suitcase…and that stairs… People working there are not friendly at all.

This is basically a hostel, with tiny rooms and tiny shared bathrooms. My window looked over the street, which was noisy all night. Cheap and cheerful. Do not take your wife to this hotel!
