"We would definitely choose this place again if we stay in Mahone Bay again. It was very clean, well kept and adorable. Kitchen was fully functional. Small, but perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway, or a couple with a small child. My only slightly negative comment is that the bed is a queen, not a king, and the listing does not specify the size of bed. But that's just a very minor point and I would still stay here again."

"The cottage was spotless and very well appointed. Especially the kitchen: came supplied with both pod and drip coffeemakers - and coffee along with some other staples. Communication with the owners was clear and timely. While the property lot runs down to the sea at Western Shore, the cottage was not truly "ocean front". It is set back from the ocean a bit but we could sit right beside the sea. Lovely!"

"We went there for Christmas with our kids and friend. Place is clean, charming. Lot of stuff for kids, toys, games, books, plastic dishes, high chair. Living room is spacious, with view on lake. The fire place works great, quiet area with a small convenience store a little further. You'll have to drive around 40 minutes to do your groceries. One of our best stay !!"

"We had an excellent stay at the cottage. It was immaculate, tastefully decorated and very clean. The hosts are excellent, they answered all of my questions. It is in a quiet location, and a short walk to the town. I would highly recommend staying at this property."

"Our family of 6 stayed here for a week. We used the house as both a place to relax and as a jumping off point to do other activities in Nova Scotia. We loved it here. We enjoyed numerous outings on Ponhook Lake in the canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboard provided by the owner. The house is beautiful, clean and very well kept up. "Me and my family had a great and relaxing time at this charming and secluded cottage. We made good use of the kayak, paddle boat, and the beaches and loved spending time on the deck overlooking the water. Even with some rainy weather, we found plenty to do in nearby towns and made use of the board games and puzzles. The cottage is off the grid and powered by generator/solar but it is easy to manage. The host was very friendly and helpful."
