  • Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a private, beautiful apartment that will welcome and comfort after a day of work or recreation in the Ames/Des Moines area. Located right on historic Lincoln Highway(being a 10-min drive to I-35/Ames), this space offers restaurants, a walking trail, and a park all within walking distance. The 2 BR apartment has private parking a great amount of space to enjoy some R&R. The kitchen is furnished and includes a coffee maker. Each entrance has stairway access.

This apartment is quite spacious, clean, and well stocked. The location was ideal as we drove daily to ISU and found it easy. The beds are very comfy and the shower had great water pressure. You can’t beat the bang for the buck.

This was a perfect set up for our group of 6 attending a concert in Ames. The unit was clean and had everything we needed including plenty of space and only 15 minutes from the stadium. I also appreciated the extra touches like the welcome basket and to go coffee cups. Would highly recommend this place!

Beautiful, cozy property. We had a very nice stay. Only complaint is the listing mentions a sofa bed, but it’s just an air mattress stored in the closet, not a pull out couch.

Family visit

We came to town for my husband’s Grandmother’s 90th bday and grandparents 70th wedding anniversary this apartment was just a few blocks from their home, it was just the perfect little spot, we would book it again, and will tell our other family members about it.

Nice place to stay in Nevada

The Lincoln Hideaway was the perfect place for our vacation! It's location is just a few steps from the center of town with wonderful shops and places to eat. The house is clean, tastefully decorated, and has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Communication with Joe and Rachel was great! We had an awesome time in Nevada and are already looking forward to returning!

We Had An Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The owners were very responsive to a question we had. We enjoyed the hockey game as well. I don't think I've played that game in over 50-years.

Like visiting that one super thoughtful family member

Such a nice stay. It was the little, thoughtful things that made it special. Kcups, lots of throw blankets, phone charger. The kitchen was great and I loved having a washer/dryer to use as well. The location is great, only 15 minutes from the university and Nevada is a cool little town. 5 stars, would stay again

Cute Nevada IA stay

Very clean and welcoming property. Very fresh linens, charge cords, coffee/snacks, and toiletries appreciated. Great location in a quaint community. As a lower level of a duplex we thought it was quite quiet. Ample parking for our two vehicles. Great running routes and close to Iowa State in Ames. Thank you!

Rural America Vacay

We came in from Texas to visit the area. I grew up in Marshalltown but have never spent time in Nevada. We loved the little town - Main Street and the 4th of July fireworks. The unit was perfect - within walking distance of everything. When we got in at 2 am we loved the basket of snacks! The bed was clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. We washed a couple loads of clothes. We even used the grill to cook up some steaks. It was perfect!

Exterior cleanliness

The exterior/entrance was kind of dirty with cobwebs and plant litter. I witnessed a fairly good sized spider disappear behind the sign beside the door! Just could have used a bit of touching up as the first impression was questionable. Once inside the house itself was very clean.
