"We recently stayed at the Hotel Belleclaire and overall had a very positive experience. The biggest standout was definitely the staff — everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location was also excellent and made it very easy to explore the city and get around Manhattan. The hotel itself was very clean, and we appreciated the attention to detail in both the rooms and common areas. Another nice touch was the $10 daily vouchers they provided to use toward drinks or coffee at the lobby restaurants, which made mornings especially convenient. A couple things could be improved. The lobby bar closed at 11 PM and even shut down early one night while guests were still enjoying drinks. When visiting New York, it would be nice to have the option for a later nightcap, so keeping the bar open until midnight would make the experience even better. We were also placed in a room near the fitness center, and unfortunately we could hear the door slam every time someone entered or exited, especially early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room farther from the gym area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would still recommend Hotel Belleclaire for its great location, cleanliness, and exceptional staff. "

"I paid extra for a room with a view. The room I is faced the back of another building and I was told anything above the twentieth floor is considered a view of the city. This is clearly false advertisement and they did not offer me a refund or any other accommodation when I complained. The people at the front desk were not friendly or helpful. The rooms were small with little ventilation and the breakfast was not good. The paint on the bathroom door was peeling off like there had been water damage, the floor was gritty and the desk was not wiped down well. The highlight was the housekeeping staff who were always friendly and accommodating."

"All the major characteristics were excellent or very good. Restaurant was especially convenient and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and welcoming, especially my maid who made a point of cleaning my room during the hour I spent at breakfast. And, you can’t beat the midtown Manhattan location, particularly if you’re traveling by train."

"Was chaotic while checking in. The hotel definitely is not prepared to handle large crowds and the elevator system takes forever for a large number of requests. The rooms are good for NYC standards and the bar was nice."
