"Great communication with the host who was responsive. Glad I arrived in daylight hours as night was dark in this location and CR road signs were not obvious. Very easy walk to downtown Salida and walking, biking and hiking were super easy to access. Somehow it is both quiet/remote and near everything. "

"We stayed at the Browns Canyon Inn during the 4th of July weekend, so prices were not surprisingly inflated. Nonetheless, the property seems to be well-maintained and the lobby is more charming than most. We had climbed a 14er earlier that day, so winding down with an evening soak in the hot tub was very nice. The exterior of the building appears a bit run-down, but everything is nice inside."
