The hotel, staff and room were amazing. The one negative was that, without any advance notice, the hotel’s restaurant was closed to a private function on both nights, a Thursday and Friday. For a Michilen starred restaurant, that would be unheard of in the US. What made it a bit worse is the staff were clearly uncomfortable with the situation, and would simply say the restaurant was “fully booked,” which was not quite accurate.

The Grand experience!

The best part of my 11 day trip to Italy, was my 3 night stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Naples. The service and cleanliness of the hotel is perfecto! The staff goes beyond what is expected to make sure you have the best experience while at their hotel. I will definitely be coming back! This hotel is nestled on a strip with wonderful restaurants and shopping with in walking distance.

While this is a classic hotel we found the property a bit outdated. The air conditioning did not work in our room, the shower is not big enough for a 5’4 person to move around let alone a 6’2 person. One night our room was turned down then the next night it wasn’t. Sometimes we were provided water in the room sometimes not! The buffet was very plentiful despite the fact I don’t like buffets, they do offer cooked to order eggs tho! Overall we decided not worth the $600 per night price tag—we expected alot more for that price.

Fabulous hotel and staff!

This is a gorgeous historic property! Staff is exceptional. Condition of hotel is exceptional. Amazing breakfast included. Beautiful rooftop deck. Old world Italian charm on the waterfront. Easy to walk to many restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when in Naples.

The room was terribly noisy. Everyday I woke up at 6 a.m. due to the noise of a flush or shower from neighboring rooms. Also, on one of the nights I stayed there, there was a party in the hotel with very loud music past midnight. The location and breakfast are good, but all in all, it is definitely not worth the price. I would not stay in this hotel again, especially if I need a good night of sleep.
