This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Napier; charming art deco architecture, very central, nice big room, great shower, highly recommended. It's only just reopened after refurbishment and is a little bare, suggest putting flowers in reception and some art or photos on the walls (no cheap kitcsh please consult a local curator)

Excellent location. More accessible hanging space would have been appreciated. Lift broke down and required some pressure to have it repaired over weekend as required due to limited mobility.

This hotel is gorgeous- the refurbishment is beautifully done and the room I had was really spacious. The bed was comfy and the kitchenette and barhroom were user-friendly and super clean. I will say the parking can be a bit of an issue, particularly if you have bags to drop off and because of the location ( the middle of the CBD) the street and traffic noise is really loud. If you dont mind street noise though its the perfect innercity stay.

Loved our stay here! Motorcycle parking half a block away meant that we didn't share other reviewers' concerns about parking. Easy walking distance to several good restaurants and cafes. The only downside was the loud guests at a nearby bar, but accommodation providers can't control everything. We'd happily stay again.

Website advertised reception open til 7pm, which I liked as I made decision to stop driving to rest on road trip. Reception wasn’t open when arrived at 5.45pm. Called phone no. listed on the entry door. They made plans to collect key at another hotel 3min drive away so that was ok. As it was a last minute decision to stay night as I had been driving all day, I was really disappointed there were no bathrobes as advertised, I had no jarmies or clothes and chose the Hotel over others as it stated it had these. Fyi, There is no parking for the property as it is in city centre. But we parked only a block over which was expected. The style Art Deco is lovely and bed comfy even though i slept in my clothes

Very nice place to stay I paid via hotels.com and I still had to give them my credit card and drivers license which annoyed me. But the place is really nice inside the curtains in my room didn’t block out the street lights that were on all night

Fully refurbished room within a newly refurbished hotel. Great central location with parking (local council) available within a 3 minute walk. Bars, shops and restaurants nearby and a short 2 minute walk to promenade. Room has a kitchenette which is very handy. The member of staff ‘Charlie’ was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Beautiful clean place to stay, the sheets were fabulous quality, the bed was great. I didn't have a view but that was ok. I arrived late at night, some parking advise for guests is necessary. No milk provided for tea or coffee a bit disappointing. A fabulous café downstairs, for the best coffee and pastries also very classy. They should be working together. Beautiful place to stay and great location.
