The place is very nice and cozy and clean. The view of the island looking from the room is excellent. Food is very nice. I had both dinner and breakfast there.

A functional place to sleep in Naoshima, that is fantastic if you expect a hostel. Be warned, it’s up a steep hill with no public transport options. We had no hot water both nights in shower/taps. The beds are very small, and quite basic. Breakfast is a bit basic, but worth doing given limited dining options. It is fairly convenient to get a bus to/from the Benesse House but be aware of the running times.

Small but cozy, price includes nice breakfast & dinner, very competitive! Our room is with balcony, only disappointing thing is lots of mosquitoes when turn dark, which makes us stay inside instead of relaxing in the open air

Very nice people but it’s up a steep hill and hard find in the dark. Very few taxis on the island so you have to do a lot of walking to get there from the ferry terminal The rooms are super clean and new but our room in the B building was not very soundproof. Good breakfast and helpful staff.

It was the worst experience for me to stay at the hotel.o 1. You have to climb up the hill with your luggage. There are only two taxies in this island. It’s hard to get a taxi. This hotel does not provide pick up service. The slope is steep. It was terrible. 2. No drop-off service. When I requested drop off service, they told me to call and reserve a taxi by myself. The owner was very rude. 3. Poor food Dinne was terrible, too expensive: quality and quantity. No professional chef: young boys and girls are cooking with instructions. One drink was required for every guest. Paella was not fully cooked. I could not eat. Dinner I ordered costed more than 5000 yen. I am not a big eater, but I was hungry after dinner. It was my first experience in my life. 4. Unkind, rude owner He did not even explain my room location. I had to climb to two more stairs with heavy luggage. I wanted to ask some more questions, and tri “do you understand Japanese?” Japanese is my mother tongue, and he was talking with me in Japanese though. How rude! He could talk in English. 5 filthy slippers You have to wear old used slippers to enter the room. The slippers were old, used, and made with cloth. Unclean filthy. 6. Noise You will hear voice and noise from other rooms. 7. No hospitality You will receive no hospitality but their excuses. I paid almost 40000yen for one night including dinner for two. I will never recommend this hotel to any one.

A wonderful stay at My Lodge Naoshima
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at My Lodge Naoshima. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and amenities were sufficient. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. The only negative was the uphill hike from the port to the hotel and the steep stairs to the room.

The design and size of our room was great. Hard beds but soft pillows made for good sleep. We had two walls of windows with views to water in two directions. It was difficult to find and uphill. Then stairs to your room. Consider keeping luggage at the lockers in the port. Also, you have to turn on the refrigerator and hot water heater. Works well for those who can travel light and do stairs and hills easily.

This was a super cool and friendly place to stay . In a good location a short walk ( uphill) from the port. Large and well appointed modern room with a great bathroom as well. We had a good breakfast before heading out to explore Naoshima art sites. Renting an e bike is the best way to get around.

I had a room with a great view of the ocean and other islands. What I did not have was food during the two nights they closed the restaurant. Not only was the hotel restaurant closed, so was food delivery, and almost everything else in this small town. That was not fun!!

We stayed in a room with a balcony and it was gorgeous! Every day we had a lovely view of the sea and the islands, it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended the restaurant the paella course we had was delicious! Great location to walk around the island and close to the ferry port too.

Convenient to the harbor but quiet a hike up the hill to the property. Once there, it is lovely. We were in one of the smallest rooms with no balcony so it was tight but clean and satisfying. The food is so good, I would recommend getting the half board while there. The island is small enough to walk everywhere and that’s what we did.

Our stay at My Lodge was absolutely perfect. The room was lovely, quiet, well-appointed and quite close to them art museums! Truly, a haven of calm after a couple of busy travel days.

We stayed in the upstairs corner room at My Lodge. The view is wonderful, about 180-degrees of water and islands. The hotel is not lux and beds are very firm, but it is clean and pretty and the restaurant serves set menus that are good. A fun stay!

Great view from the sunset terrace. The evening meal used locally sourced foods and was excellent. My room was basic but spotless. The property is up a steep hill and has no lift.

Nice and new property located short distance away from Miyaura Port and dining options from Miyaura area of the island. Approximately 10 mins walk to most everywhere, and 15 min bike ride to Benesse's Chichu Museum. Staff were wonderful, and offered to take us back to the port after seeing I had broken a piece of the luggage! We'll come back.

Great location as it was so close to the port and bicycle rental spots. Lovely view of the sunsetting from our room window. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff we were helpful and friendly.

Nice place!
Super cute place on Naoshima. Close to Miyanoura port (only 10mins walk, but up a pretty steep hill), the property is simple but nicely done. Very clean, the rooms were quite spacious for Japan (we had a balcony room) with a double bed and little desk, and the balcony had sets and table overlooking the bay. Was a lovely place to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine! The bed was quite firm (if you like a soft mattress then this isn't the place for you) and only one pillow each (ask for more if you need two!) but otherwise it was comfy. I don't mind a firm mattress so I slept well. Breakfast was really delicious (especially for 1000JPY) - toast, sausages, seasonal veg and soup. Again simple, but really tasty. Overall we had a lovely stay here

Save your money don’t stay here
We were very excited about our stay on Naoshima island. This hotel however was a big disappointment especially for the price!! First it was very difficult to find, there is a small 8 x 10 pc of paper on a small poll that has a tiny map to the hotel. When you finally do make it to the hotel, it looks very cute,, Muji inspired, very minimalist. There was one parking spot and it never mentioned in the site that it was paid parking so I paid ¥2000 for parking. We paid an additional ¥2000 for breakfast which was not delicious, a bowl of greens with dressing, a soup, and a pc of bread the second night we ate dinner at the restaurant, the nain couse pasta looked like dog food and tasted like cardboard! It was disgusting, I returned it only to have it come back looking and tasting the same! I think the Worst part of the stay were the beds! So uncomfortable I never got a good nights sleep, I would have preferred a futon than the mattresses on the beds! it was horrible! I think the bare minimum is a comfortable bed to sleep in, with decent food! In 4 years Of living in japan this is my only negative review!!!

Outstanding hospitality
The front desk staff and the kitchen crew made this great stay. We were in Naoshima for my wifes birthday and they took great care of us. The rooms are very new, clean, well appointed and simple. All have a nice view of the sea. We particularly appreciated Kati and Shon/Sean. Her service and his cooking were excellent. Highly recommend the Octopus Salad and does a delicious paella.

ウェグナーハウスに宿泊したが、バスタブが屋外にあり、天井が藁のようなものを乗せただけだったので、どう考えても明かりを付けて入浴したら丸見えだと思ったので、水着も持って行っていなかったので、お風呂に入れなかったのが残念だった。
